We are selling a 1981 Alfa Spider and a large selection of parts for the car AS A PACKAGE. We purchased the car for a family project and our boys are too busy to work on it and so we want someone else to spend time on it.

Alfa Romeo is known for being the king of quirky cars. This just may be the quirkiest Alfa of them all in the condition it is in. The whole family is genuinely sad to see it go. Are there issues with the car? Yes. But its an Alfa from the 80s, one of the only SPICA Alfa Romeo Spiders in America! This is a project car, it is not a daily driver. For instance, when you hit the brakes the trunk light and dash lights come on... How Italian is that? If you buy both the car and the parts you are basically getting 1.7 cars out of this deal and enough spare parts to win any subtle neighbor war you have going on.
It leaks but holds oil much better than you are probably imagining right now. This is really the perfect car to buy to fix up into something truly special and have fun getting your hands dirty while you're at it. Perfect father son car, or step-father son car... No better way to go from "Jeff" to "Dad" than working on an old Alfa Romeo! The engine is easily accessible and everything on the car can be taken apart. You can teach and learn all the fundamentals of how a car works with this car.
The car has great tires, a good convertible top, two nice seats, new battery, new spark plugs, fresh oil change. The car is painted in primer - straight body panels. The engine runs and sounds great (see video in DropBox link below).
