Car description |
---|
Up for Sale is a1971 Alfa Romeo Berlina 1750 in a very good running order and is believed to have 63K original miles. It retains its original 1750cc engine, SPICA injection system, and5-speed manual transmission. VIN Number AR1557422.
All new breaking system has been installed (four newdisc brakes with new pads, rotors, calipers, lines, and fluid). A new alternator, water pump and battery was also fitted. Some engine gaskets were replaced at the same time. A new exhaust system from Centerline Alfa was installed (receipts for the work are included).
It has been repainted (Ill give it a 7 as for the quality and attention to details) and showed to be a straight and free of any evidence of accidents, though some rust is present, some bubbles on the paint work are starting to show so does some minor scratches and dings are present (please see photos) The floor pans are in need of repair or replacement (driver and passenger front).Therocker panels show some rust, thoughit does not extend to the outside of the vehicle.
Pirelli P400 Touring tires are in good condition with 80% tread remaining.
This car retains its original tool kit, spare wheel and jack & owner manual, service booklet and repair manual.
The interior is largely original with new seats upholstery (both front and rear) clock, water temperature, oil pressure, and fuelgauges mounted in the wood center-panel. Lights, switches, wipers, and instrumentation are in working order with the exception of the clock. A large crack in the dash can be seen above theoriginal AM/FM radio. Trim and fittings remain and arein fair shape. The headliner shows some staining and sagging throughout.
Considering the age, the car is a 9 mechanically and 7.5 cosmetically. It will make a great weekend car or go to car for a cars & coffee like events. It is ready to be driven (any ware – I would not hesitate to do a long distance trip with it). Some work still need to be done (none of it mechanically); new weather striping for all doors and trunk, replacement clock and replacing floor pans etc. (see description above)
