1974 GTV2000, same owner since 1982, documented service history from one shop, engine rebuilt, clutch replaced, owners books, records and old photos included, Proud to offer for sale a 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV2000. This excellent condition collector car has been in the current owner's hands since 1982. It is a numbers matching vehicle in its original color and has been serviced almost exclusively by International Sport Motors a local Alfa Romeo specialty shop over the last 30 years. The engine was rebuild back in 1986 and has been running strong ever since. Like any true Alfa enthusiast the owner has kept all of his service records (40+ pages), books, keys, newspaper articles and old photographs. The 2000 model was available in Europe in 1971, but did not go on sale in the U.S. until 1972, where its most easily distinguished by the grill with multiple horizontal slats. Top speed remained about the same as the 1750 at around 120 mph, though aficionados note that the bigger displacement trades low-end torque for the high-revving willingness of the earlier motor. The mechanical condition is certainly impressive and there is only one chip on the passenger side rear quarter panel. Other than that it is absent any noticeable signs of exterior wear. This would make an excellent collector car or weekend driver.
