Acura Legend . Condition is Used. I bought this Acura Legend Coupe a few years ago. The car has an amazing condition interior. The leather is in absolutely fabulous original condition. There are no cracks or fade on the dash. The entire car appears to have been very well kept. I do not know the car's full history, but the owner's manual shows the car originated in California, then it appears to have been sold to a woman Doctor from Palm Harbor Florida. she died there in 2015, pretty old at the time of death...When I bought the car, the title was Massachusetts and the names showed they have a co-residence in Maryland too...I have used the car very little. I changed the tranny fluid and motor oil when I bought it. It appears to have had a tune up not too many miles before I bought the car. The tires are like new, but they are no doubt older Dunlop Signature radials...when I looked them up I was only able to find a few signature II tires around...they are that old, so I bought four brand new tires. I have not mounted them. I was considering the purchase of an aftermarket set of rims, but instead I've decided to list the car for sale. The new tires will be part of the sale. I currently have it stored at a property that I am about to list as a rental, so I'll no longer have that as an option to keep it there, hence the reason it has to go. I had an alignment done due to the steering wheel being off center, no more than fifty miles ago. I collected many parts for the car...Two cases of oil filters, gas filters, gaskets, belts, tune up parts, including OEM timing belt and an aftermarket timing belt kit. headlight (not needed), correct rear spoiler and one of the last around Front End Bra Kits, for a coupe too...and a set of OEM Bosch fog lights. This car has the fog light option, but either they broke off, or someone broke them off not liking the way they bulge out, but that is what fog lights were in 1989...I did buy the amber lens type, brand new...glass lens...OEM Service Manuals, passenger door weather seal chrome trim, new...half set of red OEM wires, rear bank...others (front set) exist in Ukraine, but they don't ship here. Spare OEM power antenna, new correct spare antenna mast. Left and right correct OEM rims...just to have. And an entire exhaust system...Not the Catalytic Converter...but all the way back from there...OEM style including the correct chromed exhaust tips...not that the one's currently on the car are bad, but one has a small dent in the underside. The car looks to have the factory exhaust still. The pipe heat shields are still there, one has some extra clamping...this is an area that needs attention....I was unsure if I would just save the OEM style exhaust and opt for a more rumble tone modern type of look and sound...the resonator and muffler leak a little...we do not require inspections on Antique plate registered car's here in Rhode Island, so I just have been driving around with the little leaking note...which has begun to increase over the past two years...time to do the exhaust...your call...all those parts come with the car. The body is mostly original paint. The front ahead of the doors was repainted, and the work was top notch...The lower brown probably has been done too...The only rust is right around the gas filler door...a small silver dollar sized bubble of rust has begun, surface...this could be blended, a light sand off of the old clear with a refresh coat, may salvage the OEM factory finish...the clear has deteriorated somewhat, but when wet it vanishes...reason the factory finish may be able to shine once more. This car is an unmolested original example of a first generation Acura...just becoming considered collectible. The ac system is still R12, works when charged, but slowly loses charge...I have 30lbs of r12...NOT SOLD WITH THIS LISTING!!! add some stop leak...r12 r22 type and charge again or convert to R134...yuck...she's original!!! Everything works, sunroof is very fast and smooth moving...one rear window is slow, sometimes sticks...radio original, working antenna too, electric trunk release works, power door locks work as well ...the reason I decided to just do nothing to it...keep it as a survivor example...in very very good original condition...It runs and drives very well, has a new battery last summer...install fog lights, slip on the Nose Bra, and use the not mentioned, brand new smoke headlight lens shields, add another another set of lambs wool seat covers...the same type that kept those seats so very new all those years, gone before I got the car...and you'll be way back in the last days of the 1980's...probably some other stuff in the trunk that I forgot I bought, but...that is how collecting goes with me...questions...just ask...low ball offers, not accepted...I can find a place to keep it if it comes to that...cool car, but has had almost no use by me...bought the minute I saw it...drove it home, sat a while, registered, rode about fifty more miles.. factory leather wrapped steering wheel too..better than the fat vinyl, base model steering wheel...I have the factory driver's carpet heal pad in the trunk, but no factory mats...several used sets listed on ebay...better with a new set of custom black drop in fit like a glove type...compared to those asking prices on the used worn stuff...new front plate brackets, (two) and frame,1988 model, sedan...in trunk, CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN RHODE ISLAND, antique plate 2468, Hagerty insurance $318 per year...purchased 10/23/2018 Dealer bill of sale from, Helping Hands of America, Charity Donation Center, Wrentham Ma...sale comes with current in hand paper trail...for personal record.../// to register it comes with a notarized Bill of Sale, Notarized Rhode Island Division of Motor vehicles Title Law Letter...same as a title state's title...Valid to Register in any State...export will require me to obtain one additional document from our R.I. DMV for export out of the USA only
