1978 VW Rabbit L MK1 Diesel Sedan

Up for auction 1978 1.6 ltr. 4 speed manuel transmission, 4 door sedan rebuilt engine and clutch, new shocks, new tires, new battery. I am 3rd owner, y aunt bought the car from her boss in 1982 who bought the car in Germany 1978. I purchased the car from my aunt in 1991. The car was on blocks for 9 8yrs and gaskets failed. The engine was rebuilt in 2000 by Santa Monica VW at 84,000 car now has 1140,000 original miles. 56,000 on rebuild. Oil changed every 5000 I have all receipts and records. I put in studed wing windows and all new rubber around windows and doors. car is in Show Room Condition. I have to sell this car due to health issues. This car runs like a top, tarts every time first crank. Gets up to 55mpg. Everything works.Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements or local pick up in Santa Monica where the car has been garaged. This car has been in California since 1982. Clean title in hand. Looked at reciepts bought the car in 90Rebuilt at 87k not 84k as listing states.Car now has 114,k so aprox. 27k on rebuild.

sadly noticed new oil leak at oil filter flange mountjust had oil changed 1month agodidn't leak before. (Jiffy Lube My parts)i have the gasket buthaven't theenergy to put it in. (yet) not leaking real bad but it is.also fan switch forventilation is out or is resistorcan't be botheredI've sourced the switch buthaven'treally checked it outdiagnose used to work really good. to be honest i have driven this car only 3-5 times a year since 2011 soI'm now finding little things thataren't as theyshould be, othing serious but in all honesty id rather you knowFYI late update
