Car description

I am the second owner of the 1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Wagon. Car was purchased new in Virginia and has always been a southern car. It is a base model with few options. (Power steering, power brakes, AM radio, power tailgate window). Has vinyl floors and manual windows. Car runs and drives great. Heat and all accessories work well except where noted below.
I have mixed feelings about selling this car, but I currently have several antique vehicles and most of the are only driven once or twice a month.
  • Restoration to original condition when it left the dealer in 1965 began in 2009. Below is a "partial" list of the work performed since then:

Complete Engine and Transmission rebuildAll new brakes including lines and wheel cylinders and wheel seals and master cylinderRadiator, thermostat. all hoses and beltsDifferential gasketFuel pump, water pump, generator. starter, power steering pumpControl arms and bushingsExhaust systemTiresRebuilt wiper motorBatteryExterior PaintNew winshield
The mileage is original, approximately 92000. I have driven this approximately 2000 miles since restoration was completed, never in the rain or inclement weather. The interior is mostly original. The seats and vinyl floor were removed to seal the floor pans, which were in excellent condition. The car had minimal rust prior to painting, as the pictures indicate. Some of the cargo area trim needs replacing but part are scarce. Front and rear bumpers were rechromed, but the rest of the chrome is original patina.
A few minor issues...Tailgate window switch on dash does not work, but window can be lowered with tailgate key.Original AM radio works, but could use a new speaker or upgraded stereo.Generator light illuminates on occasion but no issue detected.Windshield washer not working
I have quite a bit of money invested in this car, but I stopped counting at $12000.00. This is not a fire sale and I do not have a buy it now. This is an auction. If you see"RESERVE HAS BEEN MET", the car will sell.
Serious bidders only please. The car is available for inspection in Richmond Virginia PRIOR to bidding.
