Up for auction is my beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. I collect and have a hand in restoring classic cars and with a hobby like this. (unless your Jay Leno) comes the inevitable pain of letting go of some in order to make room for others. History: This Mustang rolled off the assembly line out of San Jose. Ca in 1965. Originally a "C" code. the Mustang came equipped with a V8 289 CID engine. Through my research. the car spent much of its life in California with the original owner who eventually sold the Mustang in 2002. The car spent the next ten years in Washington State before I purchased it and brought it to Idaho. Paint/Exterior: PPG primer surfacer and sealer. Brand new PPG "Poppy Red" base coat/clear coat paint with Wimbledon White Shelby racing stripes- painted to specs. Clear coat cut and polished to a high-gloss finish. Brand new windshield and custom tinted windows. New emblems. badges. door handles and bumpers. Engine: In 2009 the Mustang received an upgrade from the previous owner who swapped out the stock 289 engine and replaced it with a Summit 302 CID engine w/approx 300 HP that runs and sounds amazing! * 1970 Block* OE cast iron heads* OE crank and connecting rods* Hypereutectic pistons* Hydraulic Roller Cam Shaft* 9. 0:1 compression* Holley 500 cfm carb w/manual choke* Accel Hi-temp Radio Suppression super stock 8 mm spark plug wires* New harmonic balancer* New dual exhaust * New heater and radiator hoses* Sealed tight. Absolutely no smoke or leaks anywhere on this car. Idles and drives amazing!* Approx 8. 00 miles on rebuildTransmission: Stock manual three-speed on the floor. Replaced worn shifter components with Scott Drake replacement parts- removing all play out of the shifter. New shift boot installed. Transmission shifts nice and is fun to drive. Tires/Wheels: Brand new 791 Touring A/S classic white-striped radials P185/75R 14 89 M+S with new Scott Drake chrome 14" wheels. Drum brakes- all four wheels. Interior: Nice. clean white OE interior. No rips or tears. New interior components such as headliner/door panels/kick panels/grab handles/black carpet/dash cover and brand new seatbelts. New glove box insert. Unmolested dash which includes the stock AM radio. Has new ECQ Pioneer MOSFET 200W "XM ready" AM/FM CD stereo w/remote and 6X9 Pioneer speakers. Weatherstripping and seals: New windshield and rear window gaskets. new door weatherstripping. new door post seals and new roof rail weatherstripping. Misc: New ignition switch w/keys. New heater core and hoses. All lights (headlights. hi-beams. tail lights. park lamps. brake lights and turn signals) function properly. Minor issues that I didn't get to: Parking brake cable needs replaced (have new parking brake cable). Could use a new wiper motor. Summary: Sweet Classic Mustang that is fun to drive.
