Car description

1965 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III for Sale in Stanwood, WA 98292

Offered for sale, LSPK5, this 1965 Silver Cloud III purchased from the Calumet Collection in La Jolla six years ago showing 38k miles.

Multiple award winner and beautiful driver to and from Asheville and French Lick, garnering two Dudley Awards along the way for longest distance driven to a national Rolls Royce meet. 1st in Class, La Jolla Concours; 2nd Post-War European, Arizona Biltmore Concours.

Odometer currently showing 72,693 miles. The car shows and drives beautifully, having been resurrected mechanically during my term of “caretaker-ship”. Recent pre-sale inspection describes car as 9.5 mechanically and 9 cosmetically. All systems including factory air in top running order.

The car was last serviced by Jacob Cook, owner of The Rolls Connection, Kent, Washington. (253) 395-5141I asked him to survey the car in preparation for placing “Bob" on the market.

He gave the car a 9.5 mechanically and 9 cosmetically, stating it’s rare to find a driving Cloud III in as good a condition.

He noted five items for future re-conditioning:

Battery is six years old and tests o.k. but weak on load test Power steering ram has a mild leak Right rear damper is leaking Left brake adjusters frozen Right tie-rod end boot torn

List of system repairs or upgrades, pretty much in order of occurrence:

Transmission rebuilt before leaving Calumet collection. Starter solenoid replaced en route, Washington. Starter upgraded to Toyota geared starter motor. Battery replaced. Electronic ignition installed. Brake system/power assist servo adjusted. Fuel pump replaced. New 95 amp alternator Door and window seals replaced. Front windshield replaced (rock hit returning from RR meet). New “Classic” radial tires (about 6k miles since new). Ignition switch repaired (Coach Built Motors; Columbus, Ohio). Heavy Duty Cell Core Radiator (Simon Curzon Motors; Independence, MO). New, modern air conditioning condenser and dryer (factory system blows ice cold). New Lower heater core. Repaired lower water tap actuator and adjustment (Rolls Connection). Window tinting with latest UV and heat reflector film from 3M
