Car description

I am selling a 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S. This is an early Silver Rose Edition. Don't make the mistake of buying one of these cars and getting the first estimate for suggested maintenance and repairs. In the past 2 years there has been almost $9000 invested into this car mechanically. Was used as a backup Porsche. It WAS used at PCA DE Events and driven as Porsche designed. Has been maintained by a Porsche specialty shop. Overall it is in great shape. The biggest issues being the seats/dash and the dents in the front fenders. This is one of the first Turbo S's Brought into the country. It has the larger turbo, better trans, Koni adjustable suspension, bigger sway bars, and unique interior/paint.

I bought this off of a customer that needed to sell it but have decided to sell it as is instead of getting the dents fixed and interior redone. I don't have storage for the car this winter. Does not mean I am in a need to sell it, just an inconvenience to park one of my cars outside this winter. A PPI was done on the car prior to me buying it and I have the issues listed. I would really prefer to have you look at the car before bidding. I can take you out for a ride any day after 6.

Interior. The seats are in very rough shape. I have had seat covers over them so It never bothered me. The dash is cracking. The Clock trim is broken. It has 8 way power driver and passenger seats, all positions work except forward and backwards on passenger seat. If you play with the button enough it starts to work. The steering wheel was wrapped 2 years ago and the shifter boot was just replaced. Both were done by Classic 9 Leather. It has an aftermarket radio but still sports the factory equalizer. The glove box hinge stops are broken so it opens up all the way. Blend door control rod clip replaced. Everything else in in working order/good shape.

Exterior/Body

Both front fenders have dents. There is a big dent/scrape on passenger side under the door. As far as I know the car has not been painted. There is not fading or clear coat peeling. Headlights work every time. The Hatch opens with button and key, does not have any major separation issues. There are minor scratches on the car. I tried to take pictures of them all around but don't show up on camera. The majority will come out with a good detail. Rear wiper deleted(Can include if you want it).

Engine/Trans

Engine runs strong. Gets into boost quickly and holds. All major maintenance has been RECENTLY done. Please see the list below. I am not worried about anything on the engine. No grinding in any gears. Clutch feels solid. Engine is surprisingly dry for a Porsche. The only thing that was done to this aftermarket wise was a pair of chips that have since been removed and stock put back in.

he following work was done the summer of 2017. All done at a Porsche specialty shop that has been working on these cars since the early 70's.
