If you've been looking for that loaded to the hilt 69 GTO in all the right colors with all the right stuff...this car surely fits the bill! I bought this car for one reason, it's just striking to look at and gets more attention than any other GTO I own. This is a 2 owner Southern GTO that is super solid, very straight, and ready to tear up the streets.
When I got the car, it was a fantastic car, frame on restored, just the finest eye candy you could buy. But, it needed some "tweaking". I completely rebuilt the front and rear suspensions, brakes, etc. The car comes with 2 sets of wheels, the original "Rally II" wheels with new Kelly tires that are "road force balanced" and the new set of American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels, which I just love. The extra set will be bagged up and put in the car...pick what you like!
Now...this GTOdidn't have it's original 400 in it, so I installed my "secret weapon"....a WY code 68 Ram Air II engine, which I spent thousands and thousands of dollars on. The block alone is likely worth half of what the cars worth, but...what the heck it's only money right? I had the motor completely rebuilt (I have all the specs)...I went with the original heads which flow very well actually, had hardened valve seats installed for unleaded gas, at 10.5 to 1 compression and its thumping cam...this balanced and blue printed engine makes 445hp on the dyno. It's been expertly curved and tuned. I had the TH-400 rebuilt as well with a mild stall converter, shift kit, kevlar bands, blue steels, etc. This engine and trans have around 500 miles on them and are justbroken in.
So, I bought a nice GTO...I spent a fortune making it the way it is today! Sure, it's not the original motor, but who cares, this 68 WY code motor is worth a fortune, I think that makes it worth more than what a numbers matching car would fetch!
When was the last time you seen a super slick 69 GTO triple Black with hideaways?Yes...it's been a long time!
This car you can get in and drive anywhere, it does not run hot (Be Cool Radiator) does not leak a drop of anything...stops on a dime, has had the driveline built to menacing streetstandards. This is what a muscle car should be.
If the car needs anything...the car has all brand new A/Ccomponentsand (had) functioning ice cold A/C with all R134A compliantcomponets, including a R134A Compliant A/C Compressor and Dryer, they simply need to be reinstalled, a few hours of work, and you'll have ice cold A/C again. I just removed, bagged, and tagged the compressor, dryer, and 2 hoses, installation bolts, even the A/C belt is included. Everything under the dash and in the A/C box in undisturbed. Very straight forward installation, I just never got to it! (Those items are pictured)
I have 2 totes of parts for the car, including the restored original air cleaner.
I'm a longtime collector of GTO's and know these cars pretty well. I have a excellent reputation for owning top notch muscle cars...(see my feedback)
I own this car free and clear. I have a account with Central Dispatch and can get this car shipped to your door faster than your wife can get her Amazon order.
My reason for selling? I sold my warehouse and am liquidating my collection! Not enough room at the Inn the wife says.
This car has had a ton of love put into it, I'd like to see it go to a good home...not some Dealer that is going to list the car for $49,999!
The car is advertised on other venues, and this auction can and will be ended in the event of a sale outside of eBay.
Give me a call...(630) 273-7595...lets make a deal!

A side note: Ireceiveda negative feedback recently from a buyer who bought a parade boot from me.I shipped it the next day and he corrected the shipping address after I had sent it. I corrected it and shipped to his home address. I get negative feedback for that. Ruined my day actually. But hey, look at 10 collector cars I sold, never a complaint!
