1961 Pontiac Grand Prix

I have owned this car for 10 years. It is updated to be a pleasure to drive in today's traffic. Safety updates include seat belts for five, 4 wheel disc brakes, modern brake booster with dual reservoir master cylinder, and a new steering gearbox with road feel and quicker ratio equal to new car.
Mechanical updates not available in 1965 include an overdrive transmission, electronic fuel injection, new fuel plastic fuel lines and an in-tank pump enabling this car to perform like a much newer car, keeping pace in higher traffic speeds and achieving 20 mpg.Unlike 1965, this car starts and idles without touching the gas pedal in any weather, and isn't harmed by regular gas that contains alcohol.
During my ownership the interior was completely redone, the car comes with additional vinyl in both patterns. Every part in the factory Air Conditioning andheating has been replaced except the evaporator and works very well. I have not painted the car, the paint is over 10 years old, it still looks very good. I received the car on a California title and a black lisc. plate and believe the car was only in California until I acquired it.
I use the car for local cruise nights, and out of town vacations traveling to Goodguys events, Hot Rod Power tours and other long distance activities. I has been maintainedwith such use in mind and I never hesitate to drive it long distances. The car is not restored, it a very dependable classic that commands a lot of attention because it's not a model often seen.
