This is a nice driving W108 280se with the 4.5 V8. This is the perfect baseline for someone looking for a classic MB to take to cars and coffee, run around on Sunday and have some light mechanical/cosmetic work. If you are looking for a concours example, or a cross country driver keep looking. I bought this 280se about 3 years ago on ebay from an older gentleman on ebay (it was his wifes car, sold due to her passing away). I have about $8500 or so in it.
I drove it daily for a few months when first starting my dealership. (Having a baby and other things made me park it under a cover). Today I put a new battery in it, started it right up, detailed it and took it on a 50 mile round trip.
Interior:A/C is ice cold, R134 converted. Powersteering, power brakes, AM/FM becker Radio. All signals and lights work. Interior is very nice MBtex, no tears or rips and hardly any wear. Headliner is nice, carpets nice, wood is nice (bow on dash is damaged on driver side).
Exterior:It has been repainted in its original color. It is a nice driver paint job (has great shine). Chrome is nice (see photos). Rear bumper has flaking chrome with rust. (see videos and photos). Undercarriage is clean and rust fee. Body is 95% rust free minus 2 spots (shown in video).
Mechanicals:Tires are perfect, brakes smooth, strong and straight. Powersteering is smooth and quiet. Accelerates nicely, shifts like every other W108 I have owned. This W108 does leak fluids (ATF and OIL) as you should expect. Horn works, all lights work, AC cold, Radio works. Windows do not work, sunroof does not work. Trunk will come loaded with parts (filters, bits and pieces etc). I let it idle for 15 minutes today while detailing and temp gauge didnt creep up (or in traffic). All gauges work, oil pressure is good, speedo is smooth.

Please only serious bidders. We just bought our first house and have quite a list of work to do (kitchens, bathroom, floors, foundation....ugh you name it). If you do not know how to wrench on cars, this may not be the best car for you (which goes for any older car!)
