Car description

1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SE for Sale
1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SE W111 1-Family Owned California Car ......please be patient while the many photos load.....

Beautiful 1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SE W111 Coupe for sale, special one-family owned California Car in beautiful, rust-free condition. This example has spent its life indoors and has been well cared for. Showing 126,887, believed to be original miles. It even includes both of the original, California issued black license plates.

Somewhat recent repaint of its original white, a high-quality finish with a very straight and rust-free body including solid, straight original floors. The bumpers were re-chromed at that time and look superb. The glass and trim show well and panels and alignments are excellent.

The interior was redone at the time it was painted and has new leather seating, new high-quality carpets, nicely done and fitted well. The headliner appears to have also been done. The door and kick panels look to be the originals. The wood has all been beautifully refinished as well. The car is very comfortable and wonderful to ride in. The heating/airflow switches appear to have been replaced. All interior accessories are in working order including its original working Blaupunkt radio. The trunk is complete with original jack, spare and floor mat present.

The car starts; runs and drives beautifully. The engine looks to be original and does not appear to have been out of the car. Expect some wet seals, minor drips as an original motor with these miles would typically have. The tie rods were replaced at some point but our mechanic suggests it will ultimately need the kingpin bushings done and an alignment. The front tires show the toe-in and should be replaced as well. Otherwise, it seems to have plenty of power and runs smoothly. A new exhaust system has been installed.

It's always special to find a vintage one-family owned Mercedes-Benz like this, especially from California. Call Donn to discuss in more detail at 844-533-8262.

Vehicles are complex machines with thousands of parts. Classic & special interest vehicles are broad in their differences and uniqueness. Even though we attempt to be as clear and concise in our descriptions as possible, some of these are cars that we buy and consign. They are not our own personal cars and we do not always know what to specifically look for. It may have issues that are inherent to a vehicle of its type and/or age. But please consider that these old cars, even when in great operational order are nothing like your modern car! Please do not expect even a restored several decades old car to perform with the same preciseness or reliability as a late model car. If you're new to the hobby please feel free to contact me. I have driven classic cars continuously for over 30 years and am happy to share the joys as well as the realities involved in owning these special old cars.
