Car description

This auction is for 2 Jeeps, a 1979 Wagoneer AND a 1979 Cherokee. The Jeeps have identical engines (AMC360), transmissions (TH400), and transfer cases (BW1339), as well as many other parts. The Wagoneer is Narrow Track and the Cherokee is wide track, so the axles are different.
I have clean title and keys for the Wagoneer, not for the Cherokee (the ignition is in the "on" position in the Cherokee)
The Wagoneer runs great, the Cherokee does not.

1979 Wagoneer
I bought this Jeep in 2010, it had 95,000 original miles on it, and was in excellent shape. I've used it for the past 8 years, and I drive it into town (50 miles round trip) once a week or so. It has been registered and insured the entire time, as it is now. It will happily run at 80mph down the highway (they won't let me post a video, but I'm happy to email it to you). In the past 2 weeks it has started to run a bit rough at idle, but nothing major. It probably needs a tune up or a timing adjustment. In the time that I've had it, I've put ~30,000 miles on it and had it regularly maintained. The Quadra-Trac fluid is changed every other year with TCL-1, and the chain is well within acceptable limits of slack. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the front and rear axles work as they should. It is full time 4 wheel drive. I replaced ALL the u-joints, including the double cardan, about 5,000 miles ago. The low range works fine, and the E drive has always worked fine but the light didn't come on when I tested it this week. It is RUST FREE. It is also a 40 year old truck in mostly original condition, so don't expect it to be perfect or anywhere close. Here's the rest:
-Runs, drives, shifts, steers, stops and tows.
-Original paint
-BDS 4" suspension lift.
-Full Time 4WD powered by an AMC360 V-8 Gasoline engine.
-Factory A/C, but not working
-Factory Cruise control, not working
-Factory radio delete
-Dana 44 axles front and rear
-BW1339 Quadra-Trac transfer case, with low range and E drive (locks front & rear driveshafts aka tank mode)
-Stock, paint matching aluminum rims
-Door locks don't work
-Carpet needs replaced
-Fewer dings than most 40 year old trucks, but has some-RUST FREE (one small bubble in the paint on the passenger rear quarter, pictured)
-New Mexico truck all its life.
-Receiver hitch with adjustable hitch installed
-Back window motor works, but mount needs to be redone so if you put the rear window it will fall out of the mount
-Factory luggage rack with original wrench included
-Brand new spare tire.
-Battery 1.5 years old

1979 Cherokee
I bought this to use as a parts truck for the Wagoneer (engine, transmission and transfer case are the same, plus lots of other parts), but after I tinkered with it, it started right up. I used it to tow my firewood trailer for about 5 years, and it ran STRONG. I needed to steal the A/C compressor clutch pulley to use in my Wagoneer when I couldn't get one locally, and I never replaced it, so it has been sitting without running for around a year. I also removed the fuel pump for the same reason, but the hole has been blocked off. If you replace those items it will run again, there is no doubt in my mind. Here's the rest:
-No keys or battery-Has title, but with minor issues. I could get a title in a couple weeks if the new owner really wants one.
-Hail damage on all body parts (except pignose grill, which came from another Jeep. It's in good shape)
-Has rusty spots, especially the fender flares
-Factory AC
-Factory Cruise
-BJs poly fuel tank with sending unit installed about 3 years ago
-Drivers door latch missing
-All glass good!
-Rear window works!
-Has tow bar which I will leave on (comes off in seconds if you aren't using it)-Lots of exterior parts have been removed including badging

EXTRAS THAT COME WITH JEEPS:A set of used Skyjacker Softride 4" lift springs, with new bushings installed and ready to go.FOUR brand new in the box Bestop Trailmax II seats. I was going to remove the Wagoneer bench seat and put all 4 in the Wagoneer but never got to it.
Box of random parts.Repair Manuals
I can only post 24 pictures here but just message me if you want more/specific pictures and it's no problem. Questions will be answered promptly.
You can see that my feedback is 100%, because I am honest and do everything I can to correctly represent what I'm selling. With that said, these are 40 year old vehicles. There WILL be little things wrong with them that I overlooked or forgot to mention. I STRONGLY encourage you to come and test drive the Wagoneer prior to bidding. I live in a rural area and you can drive it wherever you want, on and off-road.
I will meet the winning bidder at Exit #139 off of Interstate 25 in San Antonio, NEW MEXICO. NOT TEXAS.There's lots of room to load trailers, etc and there's gas and food there. Socorro, NM is 8 miles north and has everything you would need including hotels and walmart.
You can take up to 60 days to pick up the Jeeps, but you must follow the auction payment terms which is $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours and payment in full within 7 days.
