Car description

This is a NO RESERVE auction, there is no buy it now price, It takes time, money, and effort to post on here, only bid if you fully intend to follow through with the sale!

This is a rare combination for sure! It has the first year factory installed v-8 engine for a scout, plus, it has the optional fold down front windshield that wasn't even on the option sheet, but if you knew the right people, you could still order it that way! I was told there was approximately 800 scouts with the fold down windshield, take away how many had the v-8 engine, how many where 4 wheel drive like this one, and then take away how many survived all these years, and I'm sure that it is a small number. The top is fully removable, and so is the bulkhead behind the seats, so you get a pick up truck, a convertible and an SUV all in one! You can also get a full length hard top for these and add a rear seat if you wanted, or even a soft top to make it even more versatile!
This truck has had some work done to it recently, some recent hard and soft brake lines, brakes bled, new seats, new white paint with clear coat, new tail light lenses, new spark plugs, wires and rotor, new carburator base gasket, new electric fuel pump, new coolant, recent custom bumpers, recent new starter and some other minor things Im forgetting about. No back glass in top currently.
This scout has been used in an off road only, seasonal hunting rig off and on since the 1990s, so it certainly has to be low mileage!,The truck runs well and has good power! Its the v8 after all! Truck runs, drives, shifts well for its age. The scout has been in Texas for at least 30 years, if not its whole life, so its never seen salty roads, thus, its a pretty darn solid old truck! Having said that, it is over 50 years old and not perfect, it may need additional work/tinkering/finishing, depending on what your goals are with it.Again, this is a no reserve auction, you are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal, therefore, the $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction is not refundable, You are welcome to come see the scout or ask questions and I will do my best to accomodat you, thanks for looking.
