Car description


This 1931 Ford Model A is a factory steel-bodied roadster which was recently acquired by the seller from its long-term previous owner in Colorado. The car runs a recently tuned 350ci Chevrolet V8 bolted to a 3-speed automatic transmission, whileother equipment includes a Ford 9″ rear end, Mustang II front suspension, rack and pinion steering, front disc brakes, fiberglass fenders, andamenities such as bucket seats, carpeting, and a removable fabric top.The VIN was issued by the state of Colorado upon completion of the build, and the car is now being offeredwith aclean California title.
Exterior construction is made up of a 1931 original steel body and '32 grille shell, while the full front and rear fenders are fiberglass items. Red paintwork is older and shows various chips and imperfections. Color-matched engine covers are also included.
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are staggered width front to rear and wear Michelin radials. Thewindshield pillars are fitted with small wind deflectorsand aremovable black fabric "Bop Top" by Sid Chavers is included and shown mounted in the gallery below.
The grey interior is equipped with bucket seats and lap belts, matching door and side panels, and a full carpet kit. The 4-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column for ease of entry.An array of aftermarket gauges is joined by a modern stereo installed just above the floor shifter for the 3-speed automatic transmission.
Power comes from a 350ci Chevrolet V8 crate engine set up with a 4-barrel carburetor and 4-into-1 headers feeding a dual exhaust system. Approximately 2500 miles have been driven since this engine was installed.
The color-matched frame is a modified original-style unit. Updated running gear includes a Mustang II independent double wishbone front end with rack and pinion steering and front disc brakes. The Ford 9″ rear axleemploys drum brakes and incorporates adjustable coilovers.
