1947 Ford 1-1/2 Ton Truck

This listing is for a 1947 Ford 798T 1-1/2 Ton Truck Cab and Chassis. This is a partially complete frame off restoration. The truck does currently run and roll, the brakes are all new but need final adjusting. The items completed on this truck are as follows.

• Freshly Rebuilt Ford 302 roller rocker motor with Duraspark II, 4bbl carburetor, and Offenhauser Intake
• Electric fuel pump and filter installed, fuel tank sealed and painted, installed in factory location
  
• Rebuilt Borg Warner T-18 4speed transmission with hydraulic clutch
• 4 Wheel Drum with new brake linings and hydraulics all around, power assist, firewall mounted master cylinder.
• Cipro-nickel brake lines installed front to rear with residual valves and brake light switch
  
• Front Floors, toe boards, trans cover and cab mount supports were replaced with new sheet metal
• Rear cab corners replaced
• Cab has been epoxy primed and painted but could use some touch up and buffing
  
• Grill has been epoxy primed
• Rt Fender is NOS and in good shape, Left fender needs some minor body work
  
• Seats were Re-Covered
• Vintage-Air Heater and defrost installed
• Wiring is basically complete, engine bay and interior need loom
• Chassis is wired for running lights on a flatbed body
  
• Exterior and engine bay wiring completed with Delphi Metri-Pack weather proof connectors.
  
• Front and rear leaf springs rebuilt painted and new pins and bushings installed.
• Frame treated with rust encapsulator and painted with chassis black
• NOS Steering gear installed, tie rod ends are new and king pins were serviced
  
• 1 NOS fender and pair of NOS running boards included
• Headliner and kick panel set included
• New Glass and gaskets Included
  

I've spent several years working on this project and unfortunately I just don't have the time to complete it so I want to see it go to someone who will finish it and enjoy it. I believe the truck to be complete and all the parts I have for it will go with the truck. I do not have a registration for this truck, it was originally a water tanker for a local fire department and was never registered. This vehicle does not have a New York State Title as it was manufactured prior to 1972. I will provide a signed bill of sale to the buyer. This is just a cab and chassis and I do not have a body for the truck. I do have the other set of wheels and tires for the rear. This vehicle is sold as is and no warranty is included. This would make for a great parade vehicle or car hauler just needs some time to complete it.
