1965 Concours Driven MustangFor your consideration: I have a Concours Driven 1965 Ford Mustang Born on January 18th, 965, angoon Red, nline 6 (200 cid), speed (manual) with Red Vinyl Interior (Std Model) with a Manual Soft White Top. Has some differences in some parts on the car that differs from a 64 1/2 Mustang. It was during the time that Ford was changing over to the 65 Model year and still had some left over parts from 1964.The beauty of the my Mustang, salvaged it from a boat yard back in 1989, wner wanted to sell it, he owner said his wife was too tall for the car (it's a convertible) and I was just as tall as she was then. I purchased the car with Flintstone floor boards, new soft top, new brakes and two seats that didn't belong in the car. I then drove the car back to Norwalk Ohio for the final stages of the tear down to restore it back to original as possible. At that time I was working for Don Tester Ford in Norwalk Ohio where I had purchased many parts for the car to restore: Both rear 1/4's, ront fenders, ood, nner/outer fender wells, loor pans, ockers, ngine compartment aprons, runk floors, ail light panel, rt/rr valances, tc...the only original part on the Mustang was the deck lid, t was salvageable. Working at a Ford garage came in handy to restore my beauty. My father and I decided that we were going to find someone to restore the car now that I had all the parts. I found a gentleman by the name of Joel Dennis from Kansas Ohio at the Restoration Place. He was the sole owner/operator of the business and all he restored were Mustangs, o I trusted his knowledge of restoring my 1965 Mustang Convt. From 1989 - 1992, oel had the car to restore amonst other Mustangs during the car was there. My father and I spent hours after the car was rebuilt from the ground up, et sanding and buffing, ssembly of all parts and waiting for the engine to be rebuilt to install it.Soon after the Mustang was restored with engine installed and running, ll the parts were installed correctly per MCA rules and regulations, y father had soon passed away in early 1992. He was only strong enough to get into the car and drive it one time before he had passed. His wish was for me to trailer the Mustang to events, ot to win trophies, ut to show craftsmanship of how the Mustang should be and use it as a model to help other Mustangers take notes. That I did, trailered the Mustang for 6 years before I couldn't go to shows anymore, ot that I didn't want to, ut I wanted to drive the Mustang. The Mustang is made to be driven, ot trailered, ther fellow Mustangers still took plenty of notes even though the Mustang was driven. The Mustang has been driven less than 700 miles per year since 2002. Great driver and looker. New tires (13" White Walls) with all new brakes (drum-manual brakes). However, t does have only one option, /S which makes it nice to drive, o hard turning if moving slow. Paint is a Rangoon Red Dupont Basecoat Clearcoat. It was painted with 5 layers of paint wet sanded in between each coat and 3 layers of clear coat, et sanded to perfection and buffed. The Mustang has won numerous shows including one National in the 90's and many best of shows and 1st's even though I never wanted to compete. No rust what so ever, ashing car by had always, ompressed air to dry in nooks and crannies. Jack up car to clean the undercarriage with simple green to clean the bugs and some road tar off, ou could eat off the bottom of it. Mustang has all the correct coded FoMoCo parts per MCA rules and regulations. No dents, owever some paint chips from road travel. (I know that I said that I did't take it to any shows for trophies, did show it for trophies like everyone was telling me too, o I did.)Too many things to list, f you want to talk about the Mustang, ll I want you to do is to ask questions. My available hours will be during mornings to early afternoon from 9am-12:30pm EST. or I can respond through eBay or my email. Email address is: mustangranch09@gmail.com or call me (let me know through a text first before you call, therwise I will not answer the call) @ 419-688-1071.I do have extra parts for the car, o if you purchase the Mustang, ld and new go with it90% of the proceeds will go towards my wedding in September and the other 10% will be donated to Cleveland Food Bank. The account is already set up from my account once the payment is received.I would prefer a serious collector that is serious about taking care of the Mustang, ot for a 16 year old to drive and wreck it, have seen it happen to a great friends Mustang.Again, f you have any questions, lease ask!!Happy bidding!
