This car was among the first Chargers assembled at the Hamtramck, I plant in 1967. Following production, t remained at the plant for the better part of a year as a factory "executive" car. The car was then purchased from the factory, t auction, y Sam Brown Dodge of Salem, H where it remained until about 1971. It was then sold to an older gentleman from Beaver Falls, A with the agreement that Sam Brown had first option to (re)purchase, hich he did in about 1975 for $7500. In 1979 the car was sold through Hemmings to a physician in Bradenton, L. In April 2008 I acquired the car as a running, riving survivor with 37,800 miles.Befitting an executive car, t is highly optioned with the 426 Hemi (one of 117), orqueFlite transmission, ure-Grip differential, ower steering, ew-for-1967 power disc brakes, ower windows, onsole, lock, strophonic AM radio, ead rests, inted glass on all windows, imulated magnesium wheel covers (included) and red body stripe. A detailed visual inspection was performed by Galen Govier and confirms the engine and transmission are original to the car and the VIN, ody codes and Fender Tag are correct and matching numbers. Other documentation includes the original Broadcast Sheet in excellent condition, copy of the IBM card, indow Sticker, 26 Hemi specific owner's manual (rare), nd a dealer sales proposal dated June 10, 967. All restoration receipts have been cataloged and there are numerous photographs documenting the restoration process. Those familiar with Hemi cars will recognize the engine builder, arry Shepard of Akron, H. Since restoration the car has been properly maintained and stored under cover in a climate-controlled facility.I have developed other automotive interests and have decided I can part with this and another driver quality Hemi Charger to free up some space.
