Car description

I am selling this car for my father as he has no EBay account. Below is the information that he asked me to list, irectly from him, s he has listed it. You can Email me and I will forward them to him. I will even put you in direct contact with him if needed.

"My dad bought this Chrysler New Yorker in 71 or 72. When he bought it he was told that it had been one of Nixon's aid's cars. We never followed up on that and I don't know how to prove that. The 2-way radio antenna hole is plugged (see photo). (I figure it was one of those old Motorola radios that were used in police and other official cars at the time). The Screws are in the bottom of the dash that held the mobile radio speaker.

The car is in very good shape (I would grade it a number 2) and runs well although I've only driven it approximately 200 miles during the last twelve years. There are a few small scratches.. The newspapers Dad put in the trunk are dated 78 and 85. I think he quit driving it in 78 but we took it to Florida in 85. His umbrella is still in the trunk. I start it and pull it out of the garage every 1-2 months. There are only a very few surface rust spots in the corners (see photos). There's lots of luxury here in a big American car. Several people in our small town still ask if the car is around for parades.

The air-conditioner doesn't work. Neither Dad nor I had it re-gassed. It is the type that you dial in the desired temperature. The AM-FM radio works and has the station seek mechanism of the time that operates from a foot pedal. The clock doesn't work—I think. I just can't keep up with things anymore and need to get rid of some things. I'm in hopes you own it with pride. Look at the pictures I think you'll like them.

Features:

1. 440 four barrel engine - Runs well

2. PS, B, T, M-FM w/seek

3. Chrysler transmission works well but there is leak at the fitting that goes into the transmission. (I caused that when I had the radiator out to replace the hoses and I'm too old to fix it).

4. Vinyl roof is in good condition

5. Electric antenna height adjustment"
