Car description

The pictures shown were taken the day I purchased this car a couple of years ago. Itwas truly a "barn find" as the mileage is less than 30k. Since then I havespent over three thousand dollars in materials and parts to have mechanics makesure the vehicle is "roadworthy”. All belts, plugs, etc. were replaced and theengine was tuned and runs fine. Transmission shifts as it should. The top isnew and the rear window is very good. Both visors are new. Side panels in thefront and rear are new from Clark's with the Corvair emblem. Kick panels arenew. Seats are original and no tears. Carpet is original and looks great. Mostweather-stripping has been replaced (trunk, engine compartment, etc.). The onlyspot that could use new weather-stripping is the rear quarter windows (about 100.00).Paint is original but I will also include some original matched paint that Ipurchased for touch-up. The instrument cluster was removed, cleaned andre-installed. I have replaced the radio with a new "antique”digital and installed stereo dash speaker. Heater hoses have been replaced. The dash has been repainted withoriginal color paint and there is a padded dash cover included. Most interior lightshave been replaced with LEDs. The rear grill is new. Bumbers are good with no rust. I even have 4 copies ofthe key using original Chevy blanks. I don't think there is anything missingwith this car. Even the spare has the Monza wire wheel. I have kept alloriginal parts that were replaced (radio, brackets, handles, speaker, bulbs, screws, etc.). Finish is very good but not showroom quality as the car is 55years old! It has been kept garage kept most of its life, so there isvery little sun/weather abuse. I can produce all receipts showing all the partsthat have been updated or replaced. There are two outstanding issues that I amaware of: I replaced the heater switch assembly but have not adjusted them andthere is a slight blemish of about 1 inch on the passenger door. I will includeoriginal paint (Palomino Red) for touch up and a rust preventive kit that Ipurchased (but I have not seen any rust issues). I have owners, maintenance andparts manuals both in print and CD. The car gets a lot of attention at localshows. My wife and I will be downsizing so my 'baby' must go. I can help withshipping on a trailer for expenses but the car is ready to drive and I wouldnot fear driving it anywhere. I have a lot of time and money invested in this car and do not want to negotiate. If it doesn't sell, I will reluctantly give it to my grandson when he gets his license in a few years. :-) Thanks
