Car description

1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR CONVERTIBLE

NICE ORIGINAL TRI FIVE

The car has its original 283 with 2 speed power glide automatic transmission. Picture of the stamped number on the ID pad. The car runs and shifts smoothly. The car had a restoration back in the 1970's, the interior was done in a professional white tuck & roll and a re-paint of the originalcolor around 45 years ago. The top is in good condition, rear plastic window has a small crack andis yellowed over the years. The electric powered top works smoothly. The pictures will show the top both up and down. Rare optioned padded dash. The original radio and speaker work after the tubes warm up, cool. This car is a driver, not a concourse show car, even though I have taken the car to shows and got a lot of attention. The floors are in good condition not rusted, small pin hole rust area on one of the rockers is all that could be found, nothing big. The underneath hasn't been detailed, it's what you would expect in an older restoration. The bright work is in nice condition some pitting on door handles. The car is original except for the Upholstery which has notears. You can find seat covers online and E-Bay to make the car look totally original. I personally like the interior look myself. The car comes with rear fender skirts.I have a cleanWashington Statetitle in my name. Like I said the car runs and shifts like it should. The tires are Fat whitewall bias (not radials) giving the car that original 50's look. The car doesn't over heat or smoke. If you wanted to take it for a cruise down Route 66 I would suggest getting radial tires.

I represented the description of the car to the best of my ability. Feel free to inspect the car or have someone inspect the car before purchasing.
