1969 Vintage Corvette Race Car
This 1969 Vintage Corvette Race Car is your ticket into any vintage race. This vintage racer could easily be a SVRA group 6 Medallion car withproven history going back to 1981 when it was raced by Doug Rippiein the Trans-Am and IMSA series. Quite a few signs point to the car having earlier race history, but so far I have been unable to prove ownership beyond Trans-Am racer Steve Strandemo. This car comes with lots of documentation, photographs and even video taken at Brainerd 1980/81. Sadly, the original log book is no longer with the car.

Condition: This vintage Corvette race car does not show signs of ever being wrecked or significantly damaged. The car is not perfect but shows well and is capable of running with the front of the pack. The car comes with lots of spares including: 2 spare sets of rims, 2 scuffed in sets of tires, multiple rear ends set for various tracks, and many many miscellaneousparts. New radiator, new brake pads, fluid...The engine is leaking a little of oil. I am not a mechanic, but I believe that it is leaking from the rear main seal. While concentratingon my other project, I have not fixed this leak. Currently the car is running the 1981 rear clip, but the earlier C3 coupe rear shown in the race images above is included with the sale. Please note, the earlier rear end has some minor damage. Jerico 4 speed transmission shifts properly.
Reason For Selling: I am in the middle of restoring another significant Corvette Race Car. I only have so much garage space and too many cars.
Warranty: Thevintage race caris being sold as is. This Corvette race car is being sold with a bill of sale and no warranty.
Payment: Non Refundable payment of $1000 down payment to be made within 48 hours of auction. Remaining payment in cash, bank certified check or wire transfer.Total balanceto be paid within 2 weeks.
Shipping: If balanceis paid up front, for a small fee, I can trailer the car and spares within a 200 mile radius. If you wish to transport the car yourself or using a shipping company I will do my best to accommodate. Please note, the car does not leave the shop until balanceis paid in full.
