1992 Chevrolet Camaro B4C 1LE RS Police Interceptor used for the Colorado State Patrol Car Number 400
Very Rare B4C 1lLE ....This is the “Holy Grail” of the Third Generation Camaros and the COPO for 1992
The 1LE was a "Race Package" and the B4C Package made the Camaro one step above that..
This Rare Camaro is as close to a COPO as you could get that year.
1992 Chevrolet Camaro B4C 1LE RS "Police Interceptor".... Was Colorado State Patrol.
These Police Interceptor’s were considered the COPO for 1992 and Built for High Speed Pursuit, High Speed Cornering and High Speed Braking
The Best Race Parts GM had were used to Build these Very Rare Police Interceptors...
These Camaros were Built as a Sleeper...RS Badges & a Flat Hood..... I really Like the RS Ground Effects on these Camaros
There was only 589 B4C 1LE Police Interceptor Camaros Built
487 B4C 1LE were 350 Automatic and 102 B4C 1LE were 305 5-Speed cars.... Mine is the 350 Automatic
I have the Colorado State Patrol Paper work with this Police Interceptor CamaroCar Number 400.. And Owners Manual
And the Original GM Brochure sent to theState Patrolso they could Order theseSpecialCamaros
The Colorado State Patrol Roll Bar is still in this Camaro...
I have the Print Out from Chevy showing all the Options on this Camaro and the B4C 1LE Package
1LE Camaros “Could Not be Ordered with Air Conditioning” but a B4C 1LE could have Air Conditioning
This also has a Rare Engine Block Heater per GM Paper Work and Optional Rear Defog
Most Colorado State Patrol Interceptors were Painted White...
This one was Ordered Dark Green Metallic which makes it More Rare...
Later in 1992 GM used the last of the Corvette parts on the B4C Camaros.
Early 1992 Camaros got Silver Valve Covers, Smooth TPI Runners and the Front TPI Plate said “TUNED Port Injection”.
Latter 4BC Camaros got the Black Corvette Valve Covers, Corvette Coarse TPI Runners... (Corvette TPI Runners are Better Flowing), and a Blank TPI Plate...This make this B4C Interceptor even More Rare
This is also a 25th Anniversary Edition 3rd Gen with the 25th Anniversary Badge on the Dash...
This Special B4C 1LE Camaro did come equipped with a lot of "Performance Goodies" like a 1 LE Heavy Duty Front Brakes and Rear Disc also, Aluminum Special 16x8 Rims with Large Good Year Gator-Back 245/50 ZR Speed Rated Tires, Aluminum Drive-Shaft, Aluminum Spare, Special Shocks for Cornering, Oil Cooler, Tranny Cooler, Large 1LE Sway Bars, and Dual Fuel Pick Up for the Fuel Pump that was designed to keep the engine fed even while Heavy Cornering, Large Diameter Dual Cat Exhaust, No Driving Lights in the Grill area for Better Air Flow for Cooling, B4Cs also got Higher Number Speedometer (145) and Higher Rev Tachometer
Being that this car is comprised of hardware and options that were for Racing Only should speak volumes of this cars potential, at least in its day.
I have see these B4C cars at 170 MPH in real life, and that was in the 1992.
So the used B4C Camaros were always a hit with the Street and Track Racers when they came available from the State Patrol...
Rally Sport also got the the Smaller Tame Rear Spoiler compared to the Z28 Very Large Spoiler.
I never Liked the Z28 Rear Spoiler...It was way to Big...
These B4C 1LE were Built with one thing in mind, Catch Fast Cars and Destroy Mustangs.
Many years ago, a Chevrolet executive was asked Just what does “Camaro” mean?
His response was...A small, but Vicious little animal that only Eats Mustangs. This is the car he had in mind.
List of New Parts
Transmission has a Professional Rebuild with 200 Miles on it
Fuel Injectors
Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter
Fuel Modulator

The 5.7 350 Engine was Rebuilt years back and is Strong
This Camaro will need Paint and Body work...Not much on the Body Work or rust
IROC Hood was installed for Better looks if you don't like the Hood any Camaro guy would trade you for a flat hood for the IROC Hood
Seats are Nice just need a good Cleaning but the Drivers seat is Worn.
The Police just used the Drivers Seat the most
Door Panels and Rear Panels are Nice
Dash Pad is Cracked like they all do...They make a Dash Cap that is easy to install and looks nice
TheState PatrolPadded Roll Bar is in Nice Condition
This is a Very Rare Camaro and Considered the COPO of the 1992
