I lost my garage 8 months ago. The truck has been parked under a covered carport since then, nd now I've lost my carport too. I am building a garage at my new house, ut I live in a historic neighborhood in Austin, X, nd the planning process alone is going to take at least a year. I just don't want to leave this awesome truck out in the elements, o I am going to let it go. All these pictures were taken 8 months ago (the day I moved the truck out of the garage). It is in exactly the same condition, ust a bit dustier; has been driven approximately 20 miles in last 8 months. I've included 1 picture from this week showing the truck parked next to my new house.

Here are the details.......
- Less than 60,000 miles on the 235. Compression checks perfect on every cylinder.
- I am the 3rd owner; I bought the truck from a 90 year old couple named Joe and Ruby in Lago Vista, exas a few years ago. He got it from the original owner in 1980 (it was included with a lake house he bought). Apparently the original owner only used it to put his boat in and out of the water, nd for the occasional trip to the hardware store. The truck was originally purchased in Texas, nd has lived in Texas its whole life.
- The body is solid as a rock (very minimal rust), ut it has a few dents and dings here and there. The gentleman I bought the truck from gave it to his grandson in 1990 for about 6 months before he got into trouble and grandpa took the truck back. During these 6 months the truck got the dent on the hood and the light scrape on the passenger side.
- This truck was treated with Ziebart rustproofing when it was first purchased in 1960 and it has basically no rust. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZoH4gxagSI (there's a tiny bit on the passenger side of the hood shown in the pictures). Truck was repainted 1 time in 1982; it was a cheapo paint job, ut still looks pretty decent! I clay bar'd most of the truck a while back and it helped its looks dramatically. With a little more work the paint could really shine, r be given a nice patina'd look.
- Lowered 3" front and rear; accomplished in the rear with lowering springs/shocks, nd in the front by turning down the torsion bars. The 1960 Chevy pickup is one of 2 years the C-10 had torsion suspension on the front end. Chevy got sued by another manufacturer for copyright infringement and had to discontinue the use of them. Rides like a dream, nd to lower or raise the front end, ou literally just have to turn 2 bolts.
- Vintage McGurk Engineering dual intake manifold (super rare), ith dual Carter W-1 one barrel carbs. Custom linkage and dual chokes operated from inside cab. Vintage Fenton dual exhaust manifolds, ntegrated into heated intake manifold - These old inline sixes work best with a heated intake manifold (which is how they came from the factory)
- Clean clear blue Texas title in-hand
- 5 New American Classic radial whitewalls from Coker
- 5 original wheels media blasted and painted a nice hot rod red
- New polished stainless wheel covers (have originals also that will go with the truck)
- New front and rear chrome bumpers
- New dual exhaust system from the 'Muffin Shop' in Austin; they do great work. The 30" Cherry Bomb glass packs sound amazing on this straight six
- Year-of-manufacture 1960 Texas license plates
- New stainless side mirror
- New gas tank and sending unit (gas gauge works perfect)
- New Steward Warner Tach and Tach Cup on steering column
- New triple set of Sunpro gauges (all work)
- New Old Stock under dash mounted 2-speed fan
- New Kenwood stereo/CD player with remote, nd floor mounted speakers
- New rear differential seal
- New rear springs (3" under stock)
- New rear shocks
- New complete stainless brake line set
- New brake shoes, inings, heel cylinders, tc.
- Relocated oil filter to firewall
- Newly rebuilt Starter and Generator
- New fuel pump
- New rear main seal on transmission
- New wires, lugs, oints, ondenser, istributor cap, oil
- All electrical work that I did was soldered (no crimp on connectors)
- New (not rebuilt!) radiator and hoses
- Vintage 'Kattle Kaller' cable actuated horn. Just for fun! This is how farmers used to call the cows home in the evening. Makes a mooooooing noise when you squeeze the handle in the cab (that's what the thing is on the seat that looks like a bicycle handle/brake)
- Will also include original rear springs, arburetor (plus spare carb), ntake manifold, xhaust manifold, nd several other spare parts
NEEDS: radio antenna, arbs could stand a rebuild (but runs fine), peedometer cable
