Not quite 100% on how to describe this one...
1970 Volkswagen Beetle Rat Rod body over Chenowth Sand Rail frame. Comes with a Towing Bar & Trailer Lights
New Carburetor & Distributor (in 2017)New Wheels & Tires w/ full sized Spare (in 2018)New Side Mirrors (in 2018)New Headlights, Taillights, & Turn Signals (in 2019)
New Oil Cooler & Cooling Fan (in 2019)New Battery (in 2019)
Also have a new side air intake scoop that has not been installed.
4 Point safety belt and plenty of "ohshit" places to grab onto. There are no side windows or enclosed floor, so keep those smartphones deep in your pockets. No Speedometer or Tachometer, which is why mileage is uncertain. Interior fan is brand new and friggin fantastic. (Comes with an extra one in case you need it)There are speakers and an audio hookup under the driver seat, but I never got around to using them.
Needs some transaxle work, new ones of those sell for around 700. The rust on the body is simple surface rust, I took off all the paint myself (seven layers!) and was able to get it shined up again in seconds with a wire wheel when I installed the new side mirrors. There are still support bars that go through the doors, so this vehicle is not recommended for people over 6'2". You'll still fit in it, it'll just be a little awkward. The tallest person that did not fit at all was 6'8" so if you're shorter than that you're all set!
This is a 3x Best in Show award winning car! And a supreme head turner. I had more people crowding around this at a meetup than brand new BMWs and Lamborghinis. Show it off and do your part like all previous owners in making it your own.
