Car description

74 VW Beetle Classic, ir Ride

Car runs great! It's my weekend toy and project for the last few years with my son. You'll find there have been a great deal of upgrades including a full re-wire (headlights back to tail lights) from Watson's Street Works, nd all new Energy Suspension mounts and dampeners on the front end. All the detailed time consuming upgrades and fixes are complete! I consider this car a blank canvas that either can be driven as-is with that Hood Ride/Rat Ride look, r take her to the next level with a nice paint job and finish the interior off for a truly So-Cal Classic look. Selling because she is sitting in the garage more than she is being driven. She's a fun little ride and a great conversation piece with the VW clubs and crowds. Clear Florida Title in hand. Seller Notes:

Driver side window regulator eventually needs to be replaced. It rolls down about 1/2 way then the regulator lets the window go and it drops into the door. To roll the window up, ou need to push or pull the window up about 1/2 way - then the regulator will catch and you can finish rolling the window up with the crank. A replacement regulator is $39 from EIS, nbsp;EIS Parts Window Regulator.Just about any new parts can be picked at EIS - for used parts, go toThe Samba, nd suggest you also do the same. Great site, reat people on there.

Front passenger side push rod tube has a minor oil leak. Can be sealed during next oil change where the push rod tube has a rubber seal connecting behind the valves. I have a bag of the rubber seals - enough to replace about 10-12 if ever needed.

Purchased the new motor mounts and engine tins when I was planning to pull the motor and dress it up. The engine tines are the complete set needed for this motor and include a smaller fan shroud that will open up the space between the carbs. All tins are primer black and can be installed as is or painted. I was going to keep the car with its current look but dress out the engine with chrome pulley's, ainted tins, nd a cleaned up engine bay. With the engine out, o better time than to swap the motor mounts for a new set.

The original dashboard was cut out by a previous owner. I was told this was because it was hacked up to retro fit a modern head-unit. To that end, 'm not a fan of the 70's dashboard anyway, nd used the opportunity to purchase a 60's style dashboard to weld in and give this VW a throwback look. The one I purchased off The Samba is pictured, nd only needs the inserts to the left and right of the steering wheel, nd an ash tray to complete it. Those can be picked up on The Samba as well for a few dollars each. Today, here is no fuel gauge and will need one eventually. I just top off before each cruise.

You'll notice in the YouTube video that behind the back seat I opened an access lid to get to the rear air bags; this is a custom setup for easy access to them as well as the starter and transmission. Stock, hat is a solid piece of metal. Tasteful modification that you will find very nice when working on and with this VW.

If I think of anything else, 'll update this section. Check back on occasion or please eMail me any questions you may have. I appreciate you taking the time to review all the details I've documented and thank you for considering this VW. Cheers.
