Car description

1987 VW Scirocco 16-Valve with original 66.5 kmi (Verified both Carfax and Auto Check score of 45). Completely original, ans stereo. All original panels, lass and paint (exception the bumpers/mirrors, hich were re-sprayed prior to my ownership). There is absolutely no rust. Tornado Red, -Speed, loth interior, on-sunroof, anual crank windows and AC (blows cold) Car runs strong with no known issues.

I have unsuccessfully attempted to sell this car two times in the last year with both buyers not following through with their payments. The car was featured on BAT and German Cars for Saleblog.com,

The Story:

The car is an original Northwest car (Oregon) and I am the third owner. I purchased it almost 2-years ago from a local specialty dealer via ebay to relive my youth and check off a car from my bucket list. Car was purchased new from Riviera Motors in Portland, R and came with original books, ticker and maintenance records dating back to 2000. Between records, arfax and Autocheck mileage is legit.

I drive the car regularly to work mostly on Fridays (when it is not raining) but have a short commute to work (~5 miles). The car is an absolute blast to drive and IMHO is a one of the most under appreciated values, ut the time has come to sell it and move on. For another opinion, atch the video below posted recently from Automotive Journalist Jason Camissa on his Scirocco: http://www.petrolicious.com/the-volkswagen-scirocco-rekindles-a-forgotten-fury

Below is my best description of the condition of the car and some things that I know need attention:

I am happy to answer any questions and talk specifics if needed. Feel free to call/txt/email. (505) 238-2652. (this is a New Mexico area code, ot 503, s I moved here last year for work) I live in SW Beaverton, R.

The Good:

· All original (except Stereo)

· No known or apparent accident damage

· All VIN Stickers Present

· Perfect Dash

· Near Perfect Headliner

· Original window Sticker/books/Paint/Glass/Panels (w. VIN Stickers)

· 2-keys

· 66kmi Auto check verified original miles

· Absolutely rust free

· No Leaks (that I can tell...I don't have a lift however there are not puddles/drips where it is parked)

· Runs Amazing

· Non-smoker

· Original Bosal Exhaust (perfect balance, ot too raspy)

· Original Teardrop rims (good shape, ut not perfect. Clearcoat cleans up but is starting the check)

· Tires(Toyo's) are 70% tread left

· Paint 7 out of 10 (Note: 16V body kit is an off color red (not apparent in pics) and the hood and roof are starting to fail with some minor burn (buffer) marks. The hood is original, ut has some marks that may be may have been repainted when new. For those that don't know, W didn't apply clear coat so keeping them red is an ongoing battle.

· US Headlights and Bumpers

· AC Blows Cold

· Heater Blows Hot

· Most gaskets/seals/weather stripping is good shape

· Power mirrors work

· Shift light works J

Known Issues:

· Back deck lift cord missing

· Rip in Drivers seat left bolster, oam bolster deformed.

· small dings around and major dent on the driver's door, ried to show in pics but it is tricky to capture. (I got an estimate from PDR and it was $600 and he wanted to take the door off, hich was a deal breaker for me)

· Trunk lock gasket

· Exhaust/Catalytic Converter heat shelf rattles at start-up, ut once car is warm it stops

· Missing under hood foam insulation

· Original Trunk cargo liner/carpet missing

· 16V emblem missing from front grill

I am very weary of the process of selling an honest car to an honest buyer, o please

1. Only bid if you have intentions to buy.

2. Ask any and all questions before bidding.

3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback.

4. This is an AS-IS sale. I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees except a clean and clear legal title after payment.

5. PayPal deposit of $1,000 must be made within 48-hours of winning bid. I will accept Pay-Pal/Certified Check/Transfer for the balance. Legitimate and legal buyers only please.
