Car description

- Paint, chrome, and interior were redone in 1997. The entire interior was redone in leather except dash and console. The top was replaced with OEM at the same time - still looks as new. All chrome replated.

- The original owners manual, tools, full cockpit tonneau cover, boot for top when done are included.

- No damage history, no engine rebuild, and approximately 98.5K miles. These are actual, verifiable miles from the 38 years of service records - beware low mileage cars because it is very easy to disconnect one cable under the hood to disconnect the speedo/odometer.

- There are a bunch of spares and manuals that will go with the car. The original bumper over riders and battery hold down hardware are included with the car. The blanket shown in the pictures does not go with the car - it was a gift that has sentimental value.

This car is only being sold due to upcoming 5 to 10 year sailboat cruise on my floating Triumph with no good long term storage options for my beloved 4 wheel Triumph. The car is currently insured for $25K (her appraised value was $28.5K some years ago), Sports Car Market 2018 price guide book says $18.5K is current "average" price for a top condition car. A very nice 1970 restored TR6 sold at the August 2019 Bonhams Monterey auction for $28K. From an 8/19/2019 CNBC article by Robert Frank summarizing the results:

"The only segment of the market that was strong this week in Monterey was the low end, for cars under $75,000. A 1970 Triumph TR6 went for $28,000 at Bonhams, more than double its current Hagerty market value.”

If the successful bidder is not satisfied with the car when they come to pick it up all they have to do is pay the eBay listing fee and they can walk away. If you have no bidders history, or it is poor, contact me before bidding otherwise your bid will be deleted. Please call (texts will not be responded to since it is the communication method of choice of scammers) 520-850-5954 with any questions or to see the car locally in Pt. Richmond, CA. The car will be at the Marin Cars and Coffee October 6 in Novato, CA. I will be on a business trip Oct 9-16 so pickup or shipping will have to happen on Oct 17-18, which should give all parties time to work out arrangements.

I will work with a buyer who needs the car shipped. I have additional pictures, key maintenance records, and videos of the car that I can email. Finally, I will help with any inspection you want - within reason - like the "WeGoLook" option on eBay.
