1970 Triumph Spitfire V-8 Classic Race Car Restomod

This is a light weight street legal California Race Carr! The all aluminum V-8 (Hi comp) Buick engine weighs less than the orig 70HP 4 cylinder! At over 200 HP, the V-8 has a 4 bbl carb, hi comp. motor with new Comp race cam, lifters, timing gear w. Elderbrock 4 bbl carb on an Offenhauser Intake with headers. The Cooling system upgraded to Champion 300 HP Radiator and dual elect fans, the motor over 200 HP and sounds evil via custom long rube headers and side pipes! The trans is a saginaw 4 speed w. a brand new clutch job-acceleration is insane! ! The paint job is very nice and so is the body, very little rust noted and nothing on the body that I can see. There are a couple of minor oaint chips etc The car has been stripped of all unnecessary weight- as in NO HEATER, Top, Bumpers, etc. Stock weight 1575 LBS-(now less) power to weight ratio in the 7 to1 range!Starts right up, drives and shifts and brakes fine, It does needs newer tires and alignment to be driven any distance. It still has the stock 4:11 rear end w 50 series tires so it is geared very low-re: freeway driving. Ultimately the new owner may wish to change the wheels or tires depending on use? The car has new race seats and covers also a car cover and includes extra parts: bumpers, race tires and a Ford 8.8 rear end with several sets of ford Disc Brakes in case the new owner wishes to upgrade these features at a latter date!This car is sold as is where is.It is a serious race car that still needs some sorting out.
