BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
so what exactly are you looking at ? This truck was bought new here in
Tucson in 83. From 83 to 2003 it was used as a work truck for a surveyor.
It was well taken care of and maintained up until 2003 when it was basically
retired and taken off the road and replaced with another Toy. In its life it
did get a 3" lift and some 15x8 chrome spokes with some 31x10.50s. Thats
really the only MOD done to the truck in its life. Check out the paint, or should
I say whats left of the original Blue paint. Most of it has been baked off, and
even most of the primer is dry and gone. ANY rust you see is nothing but
surface rust at best. THERE IS NOT ROT ON THIS TRUCK ON THE BODY OR UNDER
THE TRUCK thanks to being an SW truck its whole life. That being said, sure the
AZ sun and heat has been hard on the plastic and rubber on the truck inside
mostly. We got the truck the way you see it basically and being parked since
2003 the first thing we noticed was there was little to no gas left in the tank.
We put fresh gas in it and a battery and it wouldnt start, cranked only. So to
keep things easy, we installed a low pressure E fuel pump under the hood and
ran it to a small container of fresh gas under the hood. After about 4 cranks the
trunk came to life and started like it was suppose to. Thats the great news, but
while running, I did notice some puffs of white-blue smoke coming from the tailpipe
So not sure if its from sitting or something else like maybe a headgasket ?
NO knocks and actually idles smooth and sounds ok. it may need some
motor work, I dont think the motor has ever been apart or even had a valve job.
I drove it around the neighbor hood as is and the trans,
clutch and brakes feel fine for sitting so long. Tires are dry rot of course.
The truck will ship like this making it easier & cheaper to ship.
Our reserve is less and what Id consider well worth it, so dont miss out !

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: as mentioned above the motor runs off the temp e-fuel pump
and gas tank under the hood. It does emit puffs of blue-white smoke while
running, not alot but not sure why. Could be from sitting from many
yrs, could be more. I can take a video if you want.
Trans, clutch and brakes feel ok. Ive ran the 4x4 shifter thru the different positions too and it feels ok. Carb may need to be cleaned out or rebuilt
but I do use the choke when its cold and it works.
This truck was never taken off road for sport or fun, but for work in the
SW desert doing surveying jobs. It is a matching #s truck for anyone who
cares. Because of the motors condition, you could pull and rebuild it or
maybe time for a V6 newer motor swap or Supra 2JZ Supra motor swap ?

INTERIOR:as mentioned earlier, yes Az sun and heat has done some
damage to the truck, but still for a almost 35 yr old truck its
still in pretty good shape inside. Its all there too, fold down middle seat
all the gaugesseem to work too. AC blows but not cold anymore. Window
tint is way old on the windows. All the glass seems to be good, but windshield does have a rock chip on it . Headliner is sagging too. All the doors open
and close no problem and zero rust inside the jambs or door bottoms... Az truck. For as many miles that are on it, its not trashed. But it has wear
And tear on the driver seat, carpet and door panels too. Yes, the dash has cracks in it
...its Arizona. Personally, Id much rather restore an interior in a few days before trying
to repair a rust bucket for 3 months.

EXTERIOR: even with worn out paint, you can see how amazingly
straight the outside of this truck is, with no signs of any previous
body repair or accidents. All the gaps are like factory and there the
sheetmetal on this truck from front to rear is pretty amazing. I personally
wouldnt paint it for a while, but just do the motor and interior and
keep the patina. They are only original once. The only dent I could find
on the body was up by the LF headlight / fender where a rock hit it
there yrs ago on the hwy. and lower part of the rear tailgate.
The bumpers arent in too bad of shape either
for their age. Not perfect but presentable.
As for the paint or whats left of it, you are seeing yrs of sitting in the
az sun, with an occasional monsoon rain. The rain would cause the old
dry paint to run down from the roof to the sides of the truck and a few
hours later, the 100 degree heat would roll in and bake it back onto
the truck in a different area. So its a mixture of factory paint, primer
baked off, washed away some, and baked back on the body.
The original owner we got it from says its never been in an accident
or had any repaint, and I tend to believe him.

SUSPENSION:Basically all stock and normal wear and tear and
repairs done over its lifetime. The 3" lift as mentioned before was
the only mod I can see done and it was done well and holding up
fine over the yrs. It has a front steering stabilizer too, not sure if its
factory or added on. Truck sits nice, and with a new set of tires
I think as far as suspension goes, that would be all it needs. PS works
great no sign of any leaks.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented trucks on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
This is a great start on a restored FJ. Maybe finish the interior one
day when you feel the need, and watch it appreciate for yrs
to come.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. No worries here, and
we post legit large pics to prove it.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
Email me for a quote for shipping.
