Car description

1986 Toyota Celica GTS 5 speed 2.0LUp for sale is a classic Toyota Celica GTS. This car is in good condition for its age but has a few minor details that could use attention. Currently the car runs and drives, have personally driven it about 75 miles. The motor pulls strong, lutch is tight and it shifts through all the gears smoothly.Mechanically everything works as it should but it has a power steering leak that needs to be addressed.Exterior: The exterior paint is in decent shape with a couple of small blemishes. It is not original paint but does shine well. There is a small dent in the R Front fender that can be seen in the pictures. There are two areas of surface rust, not rot, hat are illustrated as well. A spot about the size of a nickle on the roof and there is a little rust on the cowling under the windshield wipers. (please see the pics). The wheels are straight and do not have any curb rash. These are the original Toyota wheels that I would consider to be in great shape for being almost 30 yrs old. The tires are in good shape as well with appx 75% treadlife left. The mudflaps, ront splitter and rear spoiler are all original and there. There is one small piece of trim missing from under the driver's side rear window.Undercarriage: The underneath is amazingly clean for a toyota of this age. There is no rot whatsoever on the underneath or floorboards.Interior:The inside is in good shape. The power windows, ocks and electric lumbar support work as they should There is a small tear on the drivers seat bolster(please see pics) There is also somecrackingon the dash that is hidden by a dash cover. There is some old window tint still in some places. The rest of the interior is in good condition and everything is there other than the original radio. The stereo has been removed. All of the speaker covers-dash and rear deck are in the trunk of the car along with some other spare parts.Mechanically: The car is a blast to drive, t runs and drives well. Has a new battery. The brakes work as they should, he car drives straight and the steering is centered and aligned. There are a couple of areas that do need attention. There is a power steering leak and the AC system needs a new compressor. There is a small hole before the muffler that can be seen in the pics. I did add power steering fluid and it leaked out within a day or two. I do not know where it is leaking from. This car could be driven home locally. There is a sticker on the car stating the timing belt was replaced. The odometer reads 079,796 AlthoughI cannotguaranteethat the mileage is correct,I am assuming this is correct, here is very little wear on the foot pedals and this is generally a good indication of how much a car has been driven. In Conclusion:if you are looking for a good old toyota to drive or restore this would be a great platform to start with. There are not many left in this condition that I have seen. It could be a daily driver with a little attention or would make a great project vehicle as well. We usually buy and sell newer Toyotas but I could not pass this one up when I saw it!
