You are bidding on a super clean, original, true "barn find" 1977 911S that was discovered in March of 2017. It has been off the road andin dry storage since 2001. Life had taken the owner in a number of different directions in recent years and the vehicle ended up getting tucked away in his building and ignored along with another vehicle in similar condition. When Ilocated it, it was sitting on partially inflated tires and covered in years of dust and dirt build up on the exterior. See the "before" photos below as it was removed from theownerspole barnin March. The owner was candid that the car likely "a few gaskets" replaced as it leaked a fair bit of oil in the many years he owned it (since the mid 1980s as I recall the title showing!), he said he just always kept it fed with oil and dealt with the fact that it dripped. As you can see from the list above, the car ended up needing a few more things other than "a few gaskets." In fact, the car had approaching $15K spent on mechanical updates, servicing, and detailing in the past four months the work has been going on. Given this, the vehicle is in extremely solid/mechanically-sound condition. It starts right up, it is extremely tight, and doesn't smoke. Itruns and drives excellent and devoid of any noises or known issues thatsome911's have.

The exterior body and paintis in excellent condition given the fact thatno paint work was done to it inat minimum the last30 years. While theGuardsRedpaint isolder, itpresentsextremely well with minimal defects on the body.Thepaint surface isvery nice, even sitting under even the most critical lighting (florescent). Outside, it could win at any show you take it to! My only complaints on the paint are some minor lifting of paintvery close/surrounding thehood emblem, a few minor chips which have been touched up, and one very minor door dent in the LH rear quarter. There is absolutely nothing that detracts from the over great looks, ie: none of theseseriousor easily noticeable at all. It's very nice paint given the age!

Theunibody is devoid of any evidence of pastissues, accidents, rust damage/repairs. The underside, and wheelwells were allhand-cleaned with 409 and asoft brush and they cleaned up to the remarkable photos you see below. Notate the original overspray flowing in from the rockers toward the centersection of the car over the original lighter/whitish color of the center section of this car. The original sprayed on stone/chip guard is present on the undercarriage, wheel lips, etc. The body fitment is exceptional. The doors, hood, deck lid all align, fit and close better than expected. The doors close like no other I have seen/heard! The anodized trim around the doors/windows etc appears to all be original and it too is in excellent condition.

Theblack interior iscompletely unrestored, and in excellent originalcondition. The dash, dash pad, gauges, steering wheel, seat upholstery, headliner, door panels, etc are all in great condition. An aftermarket radio has been installed in the dash but everything else appears to be original factory delivered componentry. All of theweatherstrips are nicethroughout the car, and still soft and pliable on all surfaces, showing that vehicle had pretty decent storageall these years!

The engine and transaxle were dropped outduring all of the restoration/service work.In the course of all the repairs, theengine compartment was completely cleaned and detailed. A new firewall insulation mat was installed. The engine compartmentretains theoriginal paint, decals, proper components, and all original plating/colors/finishes are in still inplace. The engine valve covers and all other components were removed during the engine disassembly and fully detailed. The engine was disassembled all the way down to the block, totally cleaned top to bottom, front to back, and anycomponents needing refinishing were bead blasted and fully detailed. All new studs, nuts and other hardware were replaced when possible.Original markings, decals, wiring harnesses, and details are found throughout this vehicle.

FOUR MONTHS of service work was just completed this week, and again, the list includes this and likely much more I am forgetting: full servicing/resealing/inspection of the engine/transaxle, new clutch, new cv joint, new fuel tank, new injectors, new fuel filter, new fuel pump, high temp silicone engine hoses, new battery, new BFG radial tires, oil change, all fluids changed, tune-up,complete brake rebuild (calipers, rotors, brake pads, emergency brake shoes, etc).

The original VINtagisin placeon the LH side windshield pillar/frame, along with being stamped in the body under the front storage compartment liner. The original body door stickers, labels, tags are in place in the door jams and under the deck lid. This vehicle has a clear, lien-free Ohio title which will be transferred in the next owners name.

Anyone followingthe collector car market over the past few years knows what air cooled Porsche's are doing these days. Genuinely nice, non-trashed/non-thrashed/rusted out examples are becomingharder and harder to find.If you are looking for a very nicely preserved piece of Porsche history, this isan excellent opportunity for a collectible car that you can drive, enjoy and show or just add to your collection. This NO EXCUSE car would do extremely well in any quality show anywhere! As we all know, they aren't building these cars any more, and examples this nice are becoming harder and harder to find these days. While this isn't a 1000pt concourse restoration, it's also priced very affordably for an air cooled Porsche these days.

While I will consider reasonably closeoffers, low ball/ridiculous offers willbe immediatelyrejected. Please be serious, or don't bid/make an offer please. I typically deal in muscle/Corvette/classics and (some) trades may be possible, but an outright sale is truthfully what I am looking for primarily.

I have been a licensed collector car dealer in Ohio for approaching 30 years, and I do my very best to describe my cars fairly and accurately and offer a great number of detailed views so you can bid with great confidence. I have sold several hundred collector cars throughout the years I have been dealing in collector cars, includingapprox 20vehiclesthrough Mecum sales in 2017,and likely another10 or so oneBayin 2017.If you have any questions or concerns, youare welcome to send me a message and I will be happy to call you.

Non-negotiable terms: You are welcome to come inspect the car PRIOR to bidding, or being the final bidder. The reason the vehicle is for sale for a week is so that a buyer may arrange to come see it in person, or schedule an inspector to do the same prior to the close of the auction. The period after the auction is not an inspection period unless we have discussed and agreed to this prior to you being the high bidder. For serious bidders, I am happy to take any additional photos or even do a video of the car running/starting/walk arounds, etc.

A $500.00Paypal deposit is due within 3 hours of acceptance of an offer. The balance is due by wire transfer within 5 days of the close of the auction if it is being shipped. Ifyou are picking thevehicle up, cash is due at pick up or a wire must be fully funded before the car leaves. Nochecks whatsoever will be accepted. This vehicle is sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. It is for sale locally and may be sold at any time during the auction.

If you have less than 50positivefeedbacks, contact me BEFORE bidding. This vehicleis located in Galena Ohio, near Columbus Ohio. Shipping can be arranged anywhere in the US, or evenoverseas. Thanks for looking and email with any questions.
