Car description

1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible with added Tri- Power on the 389 and 4 speed transmssion. Equipped with Original Type 389 CID/ 360 HP V-8 with the optional Rochester, 3x2, Tri-Power set up on a Cast Iron Intake with the factory style ignition setup. The power is channeled through an easy shifting 4 speed Transmission with correct factory console and Hurst shifter. The Interior includes a factory correct AM Radio, Seat Belts, an In-Dash 5100 RPM redline Tach and factory gauges with Oil Pressure/ Temp in the dash. Don't forget the passenger side Grab Bar. There is a correct bucket seat interior upholstered in excellent Black Vinyl with Optional Console with Storage. Driving is enhanced with Wonder Touch Power Steering guided by a 3 spoke simulated wood steering wheel along with dual outside rearview mirrors. This great Goat is finished In High Gloss Mayfair Maize w/Black Power Top. (It was originally a Nightwatch Blue car). Distinctive GTO only features including Grill, Hood and Side Trim and the stylish and excellent, GTO only, horizontal 7 bar tail lamp trim. Of course it is built on the famous Pontiac Wide Track Full Perimeter Frame with new Pontiac Rallye I Wheels Trim Rings and Caps with a new set of Redline Radial Tires 225/70/14. The underside is show detailed with correct colors and factory markings throughout. This one is an excellent example of American Muscle at it best. It comes with not only the PHS documentation but a plaque showing it as not only a first place car at the MidAmerica Old Time Auto Association but also First Place in the AACA Nationals in 2003.
