1965 Convertible GTO! With one heck of a story. Please read
This Car and a hard top where bought from there original owner by a local fella here in Hudson FL. He took both cars to a fella named "Pontiac Bill" who is an expert on Pontiac restoration. Bill turned the hard top into a super fast weekend warrior and as for the convertible. He Pulled the 389 rebuilt it from top to bottom, added 71 heads (455-7m5) and roller rockers. The motor has 25 miles on it since it was rebuilt "pics of inside valve cover to prove it just text and ask". This car is 100 percent rot free minus surface rust you can see in pics, she is sporting her original floors and body parts. Frame was blasted and painted, all bushings, all front end replaced, wiring redone, interior redone, top redone with new hydraulic up and down all in working condition when parked 10 years ago.
The reason the car was parked after 25 miles.
The owner of both of these cars has been battling illness for the past 10 years. When he first became sick he parked both cars inside the garage with covers on them. He is doing better but has come to realize he will not be able to drive any longer. So he gave the hard top to his son and sold the Convertible to me. I am currently building 8 International Scouts and they take all my time and money. I more than anything would love to do this GTO up my way and keep it for myself but its not in the cards. I have not got her running and I am selling her the way she sits with a clean Fl title. I have all the trim for around windshield, trim for rockers and mounting hardware, the dash clock "in mint condition", the driver side mirror, the bonnet cover for the convertible top when its down, new valve covers, I am sure some others goodies as well, I will include it all with it. I have not got the car running because if I get her running I know I will keep it and freshen it up etc. As I said above I have 8 Scouts and 3 other miscellaneous builds that I must finish. So please make this beautiful machine a good home;)
I am happy to send pics of the floor under side or any pics of something you wana see that I missed just text me and ask 240-876-9374. Also message me your zip code for a shipping quote.
If there ever was the holy grail of muscle cars this is her. Some say the 65 GTO is what started it all. I my self agree with them. Happy bidding and remember these cars are doing 45k in pretty good driver quality, they do 85k fully done show quality. I am asking a lot less than either of those numbers and this baby just needs some freshening up.
