Car description

I’m selling my 1974 Pontiac Grand Ville Convertible. A real beauty with a great blue and white color combination! I personally believe this was classiest convertible model General Motors made, with the big full size stylish exterior, plush and comfortable ride, and powerful engine. The Grandville replaced the Bonneville as Pontiac’s top of the line model from 1971 – 1975. Only 3,000 of these convertibles were produced in 1974 so they’re pretty rare.

The car is in wonderful condition! Looks great, runs excellent and is fun to drive. I always get the thumbs up when I’m on the road. I’ve taken it on 100+ mile drives and I’d be comfortable driving it anywhere.

Exterior: As you can see from the pictures, the body is in beautiful shape and straight as an arrow. I don’t know when, but it was repainted in the same original color. It’s a nice repaint and has a beautiful shine. There are 3 very small spots (about the size of a quarter or less) that has a few bubbles under the paint, but you have to look close to see them. No dents. Chrome is in good condition. The fender skirts and hubcaps are in great shape, and the underbody is also good and solid. It has a newer top in excellent shape with the rear glass window.

Interior: The interior is really nice and clean. There are some imperfections but pretty minor for a 44 year old. The dash has a few cracks, the radio is not original (and not connected), and the rear seat back’s pattern is different. The seats are in good, clean condition and the carpet’s pretty new. Includes Power Top, Power Windows, Power Locks, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Steering and Brakes (all working of course). The Air Conditioning blows warm air and the clock stopped, but everything else is working, including the gauges, speedometer, odometer, lights, power, etc.

Mechanical: It starts easily and runs smoothly and quietly. This has the 455 cubic-inch V8 engine with the Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. Odometer says 24,900 but I really don't know if that's original miles. She really drives beautifully and just glides down the road.

Look at all the pictures. The condition of the car shows just how well it’s been cared for.
