This low mileage example of the '89 Turbo 20th Anniversary T/A has been garage-kept and babied from day 1 and it shows. This is justa great car and an appreciating investment. The 20th Anniversary Turbo T/A was initially conceived by Mr. Bill Owen of Pontiac, owever the project was outsourced to PAS Inc, n engineering firm led by Jeff Beitzel. Beitzel and his team were responsible for much of the development work that went into this car. The GTA chassis' selected were random and there is no correlation between VIN numbers and production sequence numbers. T-Tops and leather interior would be the only available options.

This is a well-documented 20th Anniversary Turbo T/A that will come with an array of factory documentation. We have stacks of paperwork and receipts pertaining to this Trans Am.

The heart of the Turbo T/A is the Grand National derived turbocharged & intercooled 3.8 litre V6 factory rated at 250 horsepower. This rating was a joke, n reality these engines made an honest 301 horsepower on the GM dyno. Interestingly, hese were improved versions of the Grand National's V6 with different cylinder heads. These better flowing heads were utilized to fit between the stock strut towers. Different pistons were also required in order to maintain combustion chamber volume. Other changes to the Turbo Trans Am motor include a special cross-drilled crank, arger GNX type 12 fin intercooler, pecially designed stainless steel headers, higher pressure Bosch regulator, nd are-calibratedengine control module. This example displays its number's matching original drivetrain. The engine compartment itself is detailed and in great shape.

These are some of the negatives from the 1989 Indianapolis 500 race.

Original Turbo T/A owners were sent a special box containing the door and window stickers, Turbo TA keychain, assette tape, etter of congratulations, nd a leather owner's manual cover. We have full documentation for this car, ncluding this box and all mentioned contents, riginal warranty information (expired) and service manuals.

All of the 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am cars came in white with camel interior, ither vinyl or cloth. These were all well optioned cars. The only additional options you could order were T-Tops and leather interior. This example displays its original camel cloth in excellent condition front to back.

This is a very well appointed car with all of the options you would expect. The dash and instruments are in excellent condition. All of the factory features are functional including the stereo, ower windows, ocks, efrost, tc. The air conditioning blows cold and the heat blows hot.

The back seating has seldom if ever been used.

These are the protective T-Top bags & straps for the glass tops.

The power windows and mirrors work correctly. Slide the shift lever to drive and press the gas to the floor. These are fast cars, nown to approach 150 mph. Emerson Fittapaldi was presented with his own Turbo T/A on winning the 1989 Indy 500. When asked about it in an interview he grinne, Its a FAST car!"

The AM/FM Delco stereo needs its code entered and will work. It is in "Loc" status. Although other Trans Ams could be ordered with a CD player, he 20th Anniversary Turbo T/A only came with the Delco ETR cassette stereo with redundant steering wheel controls.

All of the gauges are functional including the odometer, peedometer, achometer, oost gauge, uel gauge, oltage gauge, nd temperature gauge.

The original option identification (RPO) decal is shown above. This is a well-optioned Turbo T/A!

The factory paint is fading a bit on the original rear spoiler. The body paint condition remains very good to excellent throughout.

The headlights work correctly.

The honeycomb wheels feature the WS6 performance suspension wheel covers. There is little doubt that this carmeans business with all of its scoops, mblems, nd decals.

The glass T-Tops are in excellent condition. An interesting footnote is GM using Lexan T-Tops for a few of these cars. The Lexan tops were so problematic, hat GM ended up replacing most of them for warranty work.

There are functional cooling ducts for the turbocharger. The Turbo T/A also received a larger GNX type 12-fin intercooler in lieu of the 10-fin unit.

The undercarriage is simply in excellent condition, ndicative of the low mileage original condition of this Trans Am. The flooring, xhaust, rame, uspension, tc. reflect the low mileage. This is garage-kept vehicle that is never driven in anything but fair weather and it shows. This is a show quality survivor.
