The presented model was delivered to the coachbuilder Dietrich. Dietrich’s name is often linked to Packard bodies in the late 1920s and early 1930s. Raymond Henri Dietrich began his career as an apprentice at Bewster and then founded LeBaron with his friend Thomas Hibbard. He then left his company in 1925 to found his own company in Detroit. At that time, a newly formed company of several independent coachbuilders was created, which counted Lincoln and Packard among their best customers. Edsel Ford tried to persuade Dietrich to join this group, but soon after Packard became his biggest customer. At first, these early models looked like what he was doing for LeBaron. Then he developed new ideas in convertible bodywork which would become most of his work. Our model is a magnificent Victoria Convertible which takes up the initialized design on a model 633 chassis. This model is very elegant. This design is brilliant with this low and sporty line giving the appearance of a coupe or roadster. It is very elegant with the top on and continues to be without the top, which is not always the case for cars of these years. This magic line from the tip runs from the radiator to the back. Comfort is also present and this masterpiece can easily accommodate 4 people. It has been restored with great care, without counting. Its exemplary operation allowed its owner to take it to a rally in Syria in 2008, during the rally organized by the FFVE.
