Car description |
---|
Superb condition for a 42 year old classic. I am the second owner of this vehicle, I purchased it from a WI farmer who had this vehicle stored in a heated barn when not in use for church on Sunday. This vehicle is in outstanding condition, garaged its whole life.
When I purchased the car, the original tires matched the spare tire in the trunk. Upon researching the mfg year code of the tire, they were found to be 1978 tires. This is why i'm pretty confident that the stated mileage is accurate (did not roll over).
I have the original window sticker and the original bill of sale and owner's manual. I would the rate interior as exceptional for its age. The exterior paint in in good condition with the exception of a few minor dings and scratches. Everything works and the car does not leak oil. The landau top is original and in flawless condition.
This car starts up on first or second attempt after a few pumps of the pedal. The 350 is strong, runs beautifully and the car rides like on a cloud.
Work completed since I've owned it:
New brake booster / master cylinderNew tires, style is period specific, original lookNew shocks all aroundRebuilt the 4 barrel quadrajet carburetorNew oil pan and transmission gasketsAll fluids changed including transmission, brake, and rear axleNew alternatorNew batteryMechanical clock rebuilt by an antique clock specialistHeadlinerAC compressor and conversion to R144, blows coldNew beltsCustom center console, cup holder unit matching original interiorNew custom welded exhaust and muffler system, period appropriate
The not so good:Minor surface rust on passenger door panel - lower corner (about 3 o 4 ") but its not easily visible due to the location.Minor dings and scratches on the paint, but by no means does this car require a paint job because of it.Speedo has a slight wiggle at low speeds but this is typical for the age,
Please feel free to reach out for any questions (919-749-0342), I'm willing to work with any serious buyer. This vehicle in this condition with only 33k+ miles is exceptionally rare.
Title is clean, ready for quick transfer.
Thanks
