Car description

Up for auction is this nice '36 Oldsmobile 4 door sedan. It is a very nice solid car that has its original flat head six engine with a 3 speed on the floor manual transmission. It starts up every time easily, idles smoothly and cool. Runs great. Shifts smooth. No smoking at any time. The brakes work good, may pull a little but stop the car nicely. It has good road manners and cruises along at 50-55mph all day. it has brand new tires and spare matching in the trunk. Very nice painted rims with original hubcaps. The lights work. The vacuum wipers are sporadic. The glass is fairly decent with the driver's side rear has a crack(but still all intact), some clouding around the edge of the passenger's side glass, other than those noted pretty good. The windshield is nice & clear. The one picture of the windshield - it is just dirty. It has a beautiful unmolested dash with excellent original gauges. The amp & oil pressure gauge work with 30-35 lbs even at idles. The gas gauge is funky. Engine temp gauge works good along with speedo, heater fan. Radio and clock do NOT work. All gauges light up at night. The interior is original with a nice headliner and sun visors. The front seat has a cover on it that I have not had off. The back seat is very nice. The door panels are a little tattered on the bottoms from 83 yrs of getting in & out. The body of this car is solid with no rust through anywhere. The trunk floor and floor boards are solid. Hard to find a car of this age this solid. There is slight checking on the rubbers. Nice clean trunk and engine bay. The hood, doors & trunk all open and close nicely. The drivers side back door needs one screw put in which I will fix. It has an excellent grill.(see pics) It has the huge bullet headlights and cool bubble fenders with nice chrome bumpers. No dents or bondo to be found. It does have a few slight scratches from normal use, however, nothing bad. It has a refurbished gas tank and 6 volt electric pump that I just installed. I have driven this car many times and have had no issues. A real joy to cruise in & plenty of room to give the family & friends a ride. I have heard a couple times a slight grinding noise like maybe a bad wheel bearing. It handles good with a newer quiet exhaust. I'm checking out why the horn does not work. In summary this is a very solid, smooth running and driving vintage Olds - an honest to goodness time machine.
