1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT (Base) Caracas Red, grey interior; 3 Owners 146,327 miles;.My brother bought this beast as his dream car but when he became disabled he couldn't complete the project. I lucked into a collector mechanic restoring a twin to this car and asked him to make it like new..We (he) repaired or replaced (have receipts for):- Complete Timing Kit (Water Pump with gasket and o-ring, Timing Belt Hydraulic Tensioner + bracket, Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley, Timing Belt Idler Pulley, Timing Belt),- Fuel system flushed (new filter, fuel pump),- oil filter,- new Group 24 Interstate-brand battery,- brakes and rotors, front + rear- 4 new tires Doral 225 55r16 (spare is good)- radiator flushed and checked, new antifreeze added (dash indicator light is on- mechanic says likely due to faulty sensor as there are no leaks; no overheating issue when we drove non-stop from Philly to VA)- Checked all belts, hoses, fluids- Windshield wiper blades, front and rear- Completely detailed inside and out, so the car is clean, carpets shampooed.- Ordered a new set of front seat seat covers- Sound system (Pioneer MOSFET DEH-1500 50wx4 Radio+CD Player) works- Doesn't smoke, idles a bit rough until warmed up, runs well;.In the back is a bonus- my brother's miscellaneous extra parts and a specialty tool for this car..Issues: oxidized paint on spoiler with some peeling, clear coat on passenger rear; mirror adjustment toggle switch isn't working (replaced switch so may be a wire connection), and the horn buttons are loose.
