This is for a pretty rare, Rock Solid, 1969 Mercury Montego MX Coupe.This is a Local car that has spent most all its life sitting under a carport.It is as rust free as you will probably ever find.This will make a very nice car.The body has NO rust other than surface rust.I removed the black vinyl top due to it being cracked up and peeling off.I have all the trim from the upper sides of the car.It is in the trunk.See photos.The photos speak for this car.The doors open and shut like new.The body is super straight.The black interior is all original and still in decent shape,other than a small tear on the front seat.Carpet is good but faded and needs to be redyed black.The headliner is coming apart at the seams so I safety pined it up.The miles on the car are supposed to be right.There is not even any rust where the battery sits.Take alook at all photos.All glass is good.The 302 2 brl motor is supposed to run, but I haven't crank it.It turns by hand and the oil is clean.The car was last driven in 2007 and was running fine when parked. The auto trans fluid is very clean.I put a battery in it and everything including the dash lights worked.The starter does not work.The solenoid clicks but the starter does not turn.Again the motor turns easily by hand,I have no doubt it will run.Some of the spark plug wires where eaten by a critter,but no other wiring is hurt.The original muffler is loose.I will tie it up.This is a drum brake car and it had factory a/c.I do not have the compressor or lines,but everything else is there.There is NO rust under the car other than some surface rust.There is no rust under the trunk lid or hood other that light surface rust.What you see on the roof is old glue residue.At the back of the rear window,on the passenger side,a few inches down, there are a couple of very small holes where some rust had formed under the old top.these are all less than a dime in size.They are about 3 in from the rear glass.See photos.The car does not leak inside.It is dry.I have both the original mercury keys.IT will need to be trailered or transported, as it is not running or drivable as it sits.IT rolls and steers easily for loading.All the chrome and trim is in great shape.This will make a cool car that you do not see very often.Email me for a shipping quote from my door to yours.
