1793 Mercury Cougar Convertible

Up for sale is a 1973 Mercury Cougar convertible base model. Only about 1200 of these were produced so you don't see many around. I get tons of waves and people asking what car is it when I drive around. It was a project card my dad and I started aboutfive years ago. I've lost my garage space so it's time to move it along.It was last on the road in 2018.

It has a rebuild 5.8L 351C 2 barrelwith about 200 miles on the rebuild from Nashua Engine in NH. A new C6 was also installed with the engine. I put on an Edelbrock 1406 carb and a new HEI distributor. Thereare new carpets and custom made red and black leather seats. There is a Mercury Cougar Radio USA-630 installed. New inner door panels were installed as well.

Overall the car is innice shape.At some point it could use a new spray and some tires. All the components areinstalled for the A/Cbut itwill have to be charged. Also a newspeedometerdrive gear will have tobe put on the spedo cable to get the speedometer to work. The convertible top works fine, but personally I think it would look nicer with a glass rear window instead of the plastic one.

This has been a fun car to drive, but it's time for it to find a new home.
