This is one rare cat to say the least. With only 23k miles from new, this was the best original example to start with. The car was sold new at Earl Collins Ford Inc in Mullins South Carolina. The original owner was Mr. J M Canady from Fayetteville NC. Yes, the car retains all of its factory original sheet metal. The Rotisserie restoration of a cougar is much more expense then a mustang. For instance, they do not make any reproduction parts for the cougars. Many NOS parts were used during the process. All original stainless with professionally polished. All chrome was professionally triple chrome plated. The interior was redone to new standards. There was no expenses spared in making this the best of the best. Nothing was overlooked on this cat! This car is ready for the Ford Nationals, as the car is correct down to paint dabs on the undersides and proper concourse markings. A restoration of this caliber could easily cost $80,000.

This cat has the well sought after 3514V HO "Q-code" engine and the car still retains its original complete drivetrain which was all rebuilt to factory specs. All power options including power seats and windows operate flawlessly. The Factory Air Conditioning is ice cold. The original Am Fm radio plays well. All lights and gauges operate like new. You will think it is 1972 when you slip behind the wheel.

The Cougar was heavily optioned from new including the XR7 Package, Q Code 351 4v HO engine, C6 Transmission, Competition Handling Package, 3:50 Traction Lok Rear end, Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Rim Blow steering wheel, Tilt steering, Power disc brakes,Power Windows, Am FM Stereo,,Automatic seat back release, 4-way power bucket seat, Leather seats, intermitten wipers, Full Vinyl Roof, Appearance Package, Convenience Group, Rear defroster, Steel Style Magnum 500 Mercury wheels, Concourse correct Goodyear Polyglas tires F70-14, Full spare to match, tinted glass, and sequential taillights. All of these options listed work exactly as they were intanded too.

Lastly, this XR-7 is a highly documented car with all options above showing on the Marti Report. The car still retains the original order invoice, Warranty Card, Original Owners Manuals, Original Buck Tag, Original Starting Instructions tag, Warranty Manual, Radio Manual, original consumer information sheet, and Service publication booklet.
