Car description

Hello and thank you for your interest. You are viewing my brother-in-law's 1984 Mercedes Benz 300CD Coupe Turbo Diesel. This is the very rare 2 Door Coupe model with the famous 5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel engine, W123 model.

1984 was the 2nd to last year Mercedes built the gorgeous W123 series 2 door coupe. The 300CD diesel coupe was made from 1978 until 1985 and only from 1982 -1985 with the turbo-diesel version. Only 8007 of these wonderful cars made it to the US. Some will say this car needs not introduction, it is such a well respected vehicle from the 80's and sought after today. If you have a chance, do some research on the W123 series, specifically this 2 door turbo diesel coupe and you will understand why it's in such high demand and well respected.

This car has about 112k original miles on it. My brother was the second owner, his friend was the first owner. It's been in California its whole life, no accidents from what I can see, original paint throughout, I think it is a deep blue. I do not see this color very often, especially for these rare 300CD coupes. My brother was going to go through it and really clean it up, so it could be his weekend car before his untimely death. The car has no rust, will need a tune up but I purchased a new battery for it and was able to start it up! My sister in law paid for the registration so it is current and ready for the next owner. It's not a show car but a great starting point for the person that wants a complete, no rust, no accident, original paint car. A very good foundation for a restoration or making it into a great weekend/daily driver. Please note, the emblem on the front hood had come off years ago, I believe my sister has it. Also, one of the front glass lens is cracked but can be easily replaced. My brother had purchased brand new and correct shocks for the car, this will come with the purchase of this car. There are some cracks on the front dash. I am sorry for not having better pictures and may be able to get some later but again, please remember the car is not with me. Also, the car will most likely be listed locally so it can be taken down at any time.

I will try my best to answer questions, please note the car is not with me but with my sister. Clean tile and current registration. All reasonable offers considered. Deposit by Paypal within 48hrs of closing, then either cash in hand or a certified bank cashiers check due upon pick up. Buyer is responsible for transportation of the car. Thank you again for your interest. Take care and good luck.
