We are selling my wife's 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL. It is Red with Tan interior and in Very Good condition. Only 52650 miles. Always kept in a garage. Never in any kind of accident and has a clean, clear title in my wife's name.
My wife got the car from her father in November 2008. He had bought it from his insurance agent and friend in 2001. He bought it from the original owner in 1988. When my wife's father bought it there was about 37,000 miles on it.
My wife has spent a lot of money keeping this car in tip-top condition. If she saw a drop of something on the garage floor it immediately went to the Mercedes dealer to have it fixed. Over the years she has owned it she has replaced belts, seals, gaskets, lines as well as done brakes, spark plugs, distributor and other maintenance items. Plus a new cloth top less than 10 years ago. We have all the records.
There is nothing really to complain about with this car. It starts right away. Runs smooth. Drives tight. The radio is not original and the A/C doesn't get cold quickly enough for me. There are no rips or tears in upholstery- just a few worn areas - nothing you'd be upset with. Nothing bad on exterior - no rust. A few hard-to-see dings and minor scratches.
We have the original manual and tools. Plus a garage caddie for the hard top and Mercedes floor mats.
Must be picked up in Fuquay Varina NC 27526 after acceptable payment has been arranged.
