Car description

On 10/23 the car was sold on Ebay for $32,200. The deadline for the deposit past and I notified Ebay and opened a nonpayment case. They told me relist the car and close the case in four days. The same day the winning bidder emailed me to apologize, xplaining he was overseas. He requested my. Bank information and never followed through with the transaction or made contact. The buyer had an excellent feedback history.

I purchased this from a local doctor with the intention of having it restored. It is stored in my carriage house, hich is being sold this Spring. The paint has afew bubble spots in the paint, ot rusted through. The car was repainted 10-5 years ago. The speedometer was replaced when the car was 4 years old. It had 25,000 miles on it. The odometer now reads 57,000. There is one piece of trim missing on the driver's side window. No other trim is missing. Some of the chrome is faded, verall in good condition. The windshield has a star. The interior is extremely nice, ith the exception of the carpet. 3 of the 4 area behind the wheels have rust0see pictures. 2 small sections behind the driver and passenger seats have golf ball sized rust. There are several thin spots in the trunk, ome have rusted through. The motor has a tapping sound. It was diagnosed at AutoLab. They service high-end cars in our area. They also serviced this car for the previous owner. Ifa valve adjustment doesn't solve the problem, he top part of the motor would need up to $4000 worth of work. They said that the enginewould not have to be removed. Compressionin all 6 cylinderswas high. The tires appear to be new. The transmission and brakes seem to work properly. It appears to be a very easy restoration. The soft top was replaced, here is a golf ball sized mouse hole in the side. The hard top needs new rubber weatherstripping. I have described all of the issues with the vehicle to the best of my ability. I will answer any additional questions that you might have.

IMPORTANT !!! Maine does not issue titles for cars older than 1995. They issue a letter of determination of ownership on Maine State letterhead. I spoke with the State today about requesting an exception. For a fee, hey will send a title detective to my house to verify the cars vin number and that it is a complete car and issue an antique title. It can take up to two weeks. The car is with aletter of determination of ownership will be available at the end of the auction. Please ask questions.
