Car description

Thanks for the interest in this auction. Happy to share my 1977 6.9 with you. Good condition car, ith lots of history. Including just about every invoice from its ~20 years in Southern California. Wait until you see the bank loan note from 1980! A good reminder of this car's original cost.Over the past 12 months the suspensionaccumulators have been replaced, ith corresponding tank cleaning and system flush. The fuel injection system has been cleaned, nd overhauled and the correct MB service performed (Belts, lugs etc.)Light use over the last 6 months (I have a 560SL, nd a 560SEL to keep me busy). Currently driving well. Here are couple of "need to find the time to fix". The passenger rear window is sporadic. The air-con is blowing cold, ut only on one setting (BI-Level). I believe the ACC Servo is the culprit and will need replacing or rebuilding. But considering this car is as old as me (Same birth year) we are both fairing well.Interior seating was refreshed about a year ago (Cleaned, epaired), nd there is minimal splitting and cracking. The dash is excellent. Additionally the trunk floor panels behind the rear wheels are both new and painted correctly (As shown in the photos).Overall body condition is B- there are a few dings/paint nicks visible, here is loss of paint on the driver trunk corner (As shown of the photo) and the passenger front door is rusty at the bottom (Also shown). Underbody is good, nd no sign of structural rust (Remember this was a long term CA car)In summary, his car feels and drives very well. Generates attention from passerby's. I am sorry to see it go, ut need to make room, nd I'm going to keep the other two and add something a little more italian next ;)Please ask any questions, f you are reviewing this car you probably know the history on the W116 and especially the 6.9.Thank you

An eagle eyed viewer noticed that the dash may have a cap on it. I went back through the history file and according to an invoice from 5/18/04 a "painted dash cap" was installed.
