1983 Lincoln Town Car SENIOR OWNED, 46,000 miles!!
Senior owned 1983 Lincoln Town Car with 46,000 miles. Purchased new in Orange CA from Johnson & Son Lincoln-Mercury . A few scrapes and bruises but as you can see by the pictures it’s extremely acceptable for a 34-year-old car that shows its been in a garage most of its life.
The interior is in near mint condition except for the dash cap which show the typical cracks of this vintage. Carpet, dash, BEAUTIFUL leather seats, door panels, steering wheel, even the pedals show no wear. The trunk is in wonderful condition as well including the original Michelin spare tire that’s never been on the ground with the jack and all accessories right down to a cross bar, emergency reflectors, whisk broom and blanket for you to kneel on if necessary.
A smooth running 302 CI, automatic transmission with OD and all the power options make this a real sweetheart to drive a gets lots of compliments wherever it goes. Toyo Eclipse tires were new at 45,949, 570 miles ago.
What the car needs:
The power windows on the right front and left rear are not working. It appears to be the motor on both doors.
The A/C works but needs servicing.
The Cruise Control does not work. I haven't investigated but suspect a dirty switch.
There are a few scrapes and scratches in the paint (it looks as though someone scraped it on a garage door on the right front and the right rear). The paint is extremely acceptable as is, but with a buff it would be wonderful. As I said, it’s an eye catcher!
The finish on the vinyl top in thin. Not torn, but thin. Acceptable but something that should be looked at in the not too distant future.
I’m a senior that purchased the vehicle from a dealer friend in Eugene Oregon. He purchased it with the idea for a trek around the state with a car club he’s in. He told me he wouldn’t be able to make the trip so I purchased it from him with the idea of driving it and playing with it. Life has changed so I’m retiring and moving and I can’t take it with me.
Vehicle is being sold as is. $500. Deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of sale. Vehicle must be picked within 7 days end of auction. Shipping charges are buyers responsibility. Please be serious, no tire kickers, scammers will be reported to eBay.
