Car description

I'm selling my right hand drive 1987 Land Rover Defender 110 classic. This defender was updated in 2014 to mimic Land Rover's 2015 "Adventure Edition". The Adventure Edition was part of three limited Defender models Land rover used to commemorate Defender's ride into the sunset (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeW5Ys6GtkY). This truck is powered by a Land Rover 3.5 liter V8 connected to a LT85 5 speed transmission. The engine fires right up without hesitation. A recent tuned up included replacing the alternator, plugs, wires, fluids and battery. Transmission shifts smoothly through every gear. The engine has 141,000km so roughly 88,000 miles. The Phoenix Orange paint is accented by the black puma hood and puma rear door, grille and authentic LR roof rack. This defender 110 although in great condition to be 33 years old has a few things to be sorted. The truck has heat but the AC needs a looking into, might just need a charge, I personally enjoy the windows down, windshield vents open fresh air mode when its nice out. Doors need key lock barrels ( I have the barrels and key, they just need to be sorted and installed), stereo head unit needs replacing, gas gauge needs sorting (all other gauges work as intended), head liner needs a little tightening and at some point I would replace the exhaust manifold gasket (no where near bad but at some point in the future) . None of these items are mandatory to enjoy the truck now but should be noted so I'm not wasting any potential buyer's time. Part of the allure of owning this truck is that its simple and both rewarding to work on. A few tools, a six pack of beer, your trusty dusty shop manual and youTube will get you through most repairs. These trucks are known for being robust and built to last with well sorted examples fetching into the six figures. Judging its history I think its safe to say the investment potential is strong for this iconic classic. I encourage any potential buyer to come and check her out in person. I have a clean and clear Washington DC title in hand Vin #SALLDHMV7BA31405. Please feel free to call if you have any questions. I will work with shippers if the buyer needs. Thanks for looking!
